Sea Ridge - where the forest meets the sea in Mendocino

Sea Ridge is located on a 5 acre bluff just east of Highway 1.
The property is very private and quiet, featuring ocean views from all
main windows in the home. The home was previously owned by nationally
known artists, who have left their creativity and style throughout the
interior and gardens.
Whether you prefer sitting on the ocean view deck relaxing, or
spotting the native birds and wildlife around the property, this home
offers something for everyone. The redwood decking has Andirondack
furniture and recliners for your enjoyment of the fabulous views and
surroundings. The home sits on 5 acres with approximately 3 of those
acres on flat land.
The Main House has 3 bedrooms and 2 bath, with 1 California King,
2 Queen beds, 2 twins,a full-size futon, and a very nice child's rollaway bed.
There is a kiva-style fireplace in the Great Room, along with wood-stove heaters
in each bedroom. The Great room is large enough to accomodate a large family,
with furniture that can be re-arranged for your needs. The dining table can be
expanded to seat up to 10 people, and there are folding tables and chairs for
the kids to eat, play, or do a puzzle.
The 3rd and largest bedroom has a Queen bed, two twin beds, a couch/recliner,
wood-stove heater, and TV/DVD/VCR, with an assortment of movies and childrens
books & games. The home also has a wide variety of books and novels for your
reading pleasure.
The Guest Suite is a separate 1 bd/1 bath suite that allows for extra privacy
complete with a small refrigerator, table & chairs, and walk-in closet. It has
a separate entrance and could be perfect for that couple that desires their own
quiet and space, while still enjoying the ocean views and serenity. The bed
is a Queen size, and there's also a small TV with DVD/VHS player in that room.
The property also features a park-like area among the trees with a firepit and
hammock. You can relax in the hammock amongst the trees to enjoy a good book, or
have a picnic or campfire. There's also a fenced organic garden to enjoy any
vegetables that may be ripe. The driveway is fully paved, with room for several cars
or an RV. The hot tub is large enough for 6, and offers a spectacular view of the
Pacific Ocean. There are no other homes in sight on this property, making it a
truly magical place to reconnect with yourself and others.
This property is 15 minutes south of the town of Mendocino, located just south
of the Navarro River where it meets the Pacific Ocean. Ft. Bragg is approximately
30 minutes north along Highway 1. There is no direct beach access, as this home
sits on a bluff just east of the highway.
We are pet-friendly, provided that your pets are house-broken and well-behaved.
The home has completely hardwood floors, a doggie door, and pet bed. Although the
entire property is not fenced, there is a fenced, gated area with trees, grass and
2 wooden dog houses.
There is plenty of pre-cut firewood for your use, as well as beach towels for
the hot-tub, and plenty of extra towels and linens. We have local hiking and
sight-seeing books, games and cards for adults and the children.
The kitchen is fully stocked for all your cooking needs. It has an assortment
of cookware, bakeware, and small appliances for all your cooking needs. There is a
waffle iron, pancake griddle, crockpot, blender, coffemaker and coffee grinder, fondue pot,
electric mixer, and hand mixer. There's plenty of wine and martini glasses. table linens,
flower vases, and tealights. There's also plastic tableware for children or outdoor use.
Sea Ridge now has wireless internet access, unlimited local and long distance
telephone calls within the U.S., and a color printer and fax machine so you can stay
connected "while away from it all". Please note that some cell phones may not
have coverage.

This property is 15 minutes from the town of Mendocino, with many
shopping and sight-seeing opportunities. The Anderson Valley
wineries are 20 minutes west, and are fast becoming well-known for
their excellent varietal wines. There are many hiking trails,
kayaking, and horseback riding opportunitues, and the Navarro River
Beach is less than a mile away, Fort Bragg is 25 minutes north of
this home, with its local fishing harbors, Glass Beach, the infamous
Skunk Train, and the Mendocino Botanical Gardens, to name a few.
