The street on which Sunset Lodge is situated is a kid friendly, one way
street with a dedicated walk path which takes you straight to all the
villages attractions, including the amusement park, fine and casual
restaurants, great shops and the village park (with regularly
scheduled entertainment throughout the summer) as well as all
village activities, the canal and the pier.
Sunset Lodge is situated on a large, beautiful all natural sand
beach, in the most sought after part of the beach, enjoying
beautiful sunsets directly across the Lake. Oneida Lake is
the perfect all activity lake. It is a shallow lake,
60 feet at its deepest, which makes it naturally warm most of the summer.
It is excellent for swimming because of its sandy bottom
and shallow incline with no drop-offs. It is very popular for boating, and
is well regarded for Pike and Walleye fishing as well, being one of the
best in the country.
Sunset Lodge enjoys spectacular sunsets across the lake
as the lake is 22 miles long lying in in an east-west direction.
