Vacation Rental Description
Very secluded and quiet with locked gate access makes Green
Valley the perfect getaway from the noise and confusion of everyday
living. The cottages are situated to allow for our guests privacy and
to provide a nice stroll or bike ride,(2 bikes provided ea.
cottage),to the 2 acre lake.
Sophronia Cottage sits on the banks of Bear Creek and has a
beautifully treed front lawn with volleyball net, bonfire area
w/picnic table, and tree swing. The cottage sleeps 4 adults with a
full size bed in the bedroom and a sleep sofa in the great room.
Electric baseboard heat, a gas fireplace in the bedroom, and air
conditioning keeps the cottage comfortable year-round. Sophronia
also has a relaxing four person Hot Tub on the bedroom deck! The
kitchen is fully furnished and has an electric range w/oven,
microwave, coffee-maker, toaster, refrigerator, and a full size
washer/dryer. The full bath has a shower and all bath and bed linens
are provided. The front porch has a pair of adirondack chairs and
makes a great place to observe the birds in the feeder or relax
during a summer rain shower.
Francena Cottage sits among the tall red oak trees near Bear
Creek and has a bonfire area w/picnic table and charcoal grill. This
two bedroom cottage sleeps 4 adults very comfortably with one queen
size bed and one full size bed. The great room includes a very cozy
gas fireplace, making it the perfect place to relax with your
favorite book on a chilly night.The kitchen is fully furnished with
electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, and refrigerator.
Electric baseboard heat and air conditioning keeps the cottage
comfortable. The full bath has a tub w/shower and a full size
washer/dryer. All bath and bed linens are provided. Francena's deck
w/adirondack chairs, french-style patio doors, and a relaxing Solana
Hot Tub, makes this cottage a great place to enjoy the outdoors !
Lory Cottage is situated above the lake at Green Valley and
offers a beautiful view of the lake! Lory is 1/2 mile south of the
other cottages, at the end of Green Valley Lane, which makes for a
very private location. You won't see another house from this
cottage !!
Lory Cottage amenties - Living room w/gas fireplace, eat in kitchen,
TV w/dvd player, Am/Fm radio CD player, electric baseboard heat ,
central a/c, full bath downstairs w/1/2 bath upstairs, full size
stack washer/dryer, upstairs bedroom with a queen size bed, sundeck
with bedroom access, living room deck with hot tub, large front porch
overlooking the lake. Lory Cottage is fully furnished, and has all of
your necessary bed and bath linens and pillows.
The lake at Green Valley is stocked w/bass, bluegill, and catfish
and provides our guests with many opportunties for outdoor fun.
Fishing, boating, relaxing on the dock, or strolling in the
moonlight, make the lake one of our guests favorite spots. There are
also six marked hiking trails that take you through tall White
Pines, across Bear Creek, and alongside part of an old split-rail
fence built in the late 1800's.
Another great thing about Green Valley is our location. We are
an easy drive from: Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Richmond,
Wash.,D.C., and New York, N.Y., and though our cottages are
secluded, everything is nearby!!!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. You certainly have a
beautiful slice of Heaven on Earth here !! The house is beautiful and
so wonderfully decorated. The lighting w/candles made it warm and
inviting for our arrival after dark. Having the hot tub warm and
ready was a marvelous thing too and much enjoyed. Thanks for this
wonderful retreat ! We'll be back !! Mountville, Pa.
Sophronia Cottage - June, 4-6, 2007
What better way to spend our 25th anniversary in such a peaceful and
tranquil place as Green Valley. We're used to the country, but not
the quietness. Green Valley came highly recommended by my sister-in-
law. They came in the winter, but I think they need to experience the
summmer beauty your cottages have. We hope to return soon. I hate to
leave tomorrow morning...Two days went "too" fast !! Irvona, Pa.

Even five days of rain couldn't dampen a week at Lory Cottage ! This
is our 6th visit and it truly feels like home. Thanks for giving us a
quiet hideaway that we can enjoy ! See you again in January !! B.

Lory Cottage - $250 per night, $550 per weekend, $1,550 per week.
Rates: Nov. - April :
Sophronia Cottage - $120 per night, $365 per weekend, $905 per week.
Francena Cottage - $140 per night, $425 per weekend, $1,005 per week.
Lory Cottage - $160 per night, $465 per weekend, $1,105 per week.
Please Note: Above Rates are for 2 adults. Add $20 per night per
additional adult. Children stay free.
Refundable $100 pet deposit required.
