Pirates Paradise Beach Home, 5 Bedrooms, Ocean View in St Augustine Beach

Ahoy, landlubbers! Pirates' Paradise, our big oceanfront house on St. Augustine Beach, is a treasure trove just waiting to be explored. With a swimming pool, elevator, 3 floors, and incredible views in 2 directions, it's the ideal venue for your big group.

You can tell at a glance that Pirates' Paradise was designed for large families and lots of fun. The pool has a sturdy safety fence around it, and plenty of sunbathing space. There's an outdoor shower, so the sand stays outdoors. Big wide balconies offer plenty of room for the whole gang to crowd out and toast the moonlight. And the furnishings are both new and very comfortable, with luxury in mind.

Let's start at the top of the house and work our way down. Take the elevator to the third floor and step into the palatial master suite. It has a penthouse look, with staggering views -- the ocean in one direction, the Intracoastal Waterway in another! -- and a private balcony with rocking chairs and a panoramic view of the coastline. Step out here first thing in the morning and you'll feel like the king of the beach!

The master bedroom features a huge king-sized bed, floor-to-ceiling windows, an HDTV, and an enormous wet bar. Oh yes, it's a royal retreat, with a state-of-the-art bathroom offering dual vanities, a big soaking tub, walk-in shower, and separate room for the toilet. The bathroom is open and sunny, with a sliding-glass door to the patio, because there's nobody here to see you except the dolphins in the surf!

Also on the 3rd floor is a bedroom with 2 twin beds. This is a good choice for toddlers who take a daytime nap or for anyone who goes to bed early, because it's away from the noise downstairs. A full bathroom is convenient to this bedroom.

On the 2nd floor are 3 more bedrooms, 2½ more baths, and the living and dining areas of Pirates' Paradise. The biggest bedroom contains 2 single beds, each with a trundle, along with a game table and terrific water views. This is a great space for older kids and teens, and has been known to serve as a clubhouse!

A quiet and soothing bedroom contains a king-sized bed, while another offers 2 twins. Add to all of these beds the 2 convertible sofa sleepers in the living room, and Pirates' Paradise sleeps 14 very comfortably! You'll find all the linens you need waiting for you here too, along with towels and lots of spare pillows and blankets. Just because you're bringing a big group doesn't mean you need to pack up your whole house!

Now that everyone has a place to sleep, let's look at the living and dining areas. Our living room is huge, and we've arranged the furniture to divide it into 2 areas (but feel free to rearrange!). One set of couches and chairs is grouped around our big new HDTV with DVD player, because it's the coolest toy and there will always be somebody wanting to watch a movie or catch a big game. The other is grouped for conversation and quieter pursuits (like reading that Scandinavian thriller everyone's talking about!). And no matter where you sit, you have an amazing ocean view.

Sliding glass doors lead from the living room onto our long, friendly porch. This is the place you'll slip away to at all hours, savoring the rumble of the surf and the calls of the birds. If you can get up early enough one morning, the sunrise will put on a private show for you. 

The kitchen at Pirates' Paradise is big enough for cooks and a bevy of sous-chefs, with a central island, glasstop stove, and stone countertops. We've filled the cupboards with dishes, glasses, flatware, utensils, and all the pots and pans you might need. Stock up on groceries, cook as much or as little as you like, and be sure to try our favorite feature: the special faucet that delivers piping-hot water with no waiting. It's a lifesaver in the morning!

There is a dining table at Pirates' Paradise as well as a breakfast nook with a 2nd big table. We've also got a laundry room and free wireless Internet service for your use. You'll find it all here! Come discover a true treasure on the coast.
