Having had such a great time last December when we rented the villa during the Christmas holidays, we decided to stay there again for Thanksgiving. One of our sons and his family live nearby and we have rented places over the past three years. We have found the villa to be the best place we've rented since coming down to the keys.

We love the quiet location with easy access to Key West and restaurants and stores. Our boat docks easily and the area is great for fishing. The fenced yard gives you a feeling of security when our grandson and other family come to visit. Having multiple areas to eat works out wonderfully. We love having a quiet cup of coffee or meal on the upstairs patio with lunch downstairs catching the sun.

The home interior is a perfect size and the lovely colors of all the rooms make you settle in for island living right away. We're looking forward to staying here again.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers

A little paradise

Having spent many summers in the upper keys we were anxious about a change to the lower keys. It was the best thing we ever did. The tranquility of the lower keys and its proximately to Key West made it the perfect vacation. Villa del Sol was the perfect house in the perfect location. The boating canal and dock were lots of fun and the house was a pleasent surprise, immaculately kept inside and out. The gated property allowed for exceptional privacy and peace of mind as our small children often played in the yard.
All in all I would highly recommend this home and its location to anyone looking for the perfect boating, diving and fishing vacation.

Recommended for: adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, sight seeing, romantic getaway

Nice exterior home with average interior

Exterior property of home very well maintained. Nice dock on a busy canal leading to a public boat ramp. Property was not clean inside with over clutter of personal belongings from the owners. Make sure if you stay at this home that upon check-in you inform owner if house has a strong odor or not cleaned well before you check out. Upon check in house was very dusty inside, had small sugar ants, all the dishes were dirty and had to be washed, refrigerator was full of opened item foods like salad dressings, spaghetti jar full of olives, opened pasta, spreads, and other misc food items. Two Pantry's over filled with open spices and condiments, some were expired giving you very little room for your groceries. Master bedroom mattress not comfortable, however after placing egg shell foam was better. No TV's in any of the bedrooms just the family room. Had a hand delivered letter to the home that utilities were going to shut off because the bill was not paid (after contacting the owner was taken care of). Home on a nice private corner well fenced in. Easy access to open water in nice location.

Recommended for: families with young children, pet-friendly
