Beautiful 5th floor 1 Bedroom Condo with hallway bunks in the Island
Princess on Okaloosa Island in Fort Walton Beach. Within 2 miles
there are multiple activities and restaurants to include the fishing
pier, Gulfararium, boardwalk, golf, jet skis and much more. Unit
has balcony view of Gulf and Bay. Sleeps 6 with hallway bunks. Queen
sleeper sofa in living room. Condo has been rated a Platnium unit
by 3 management companies. Immaculately decorated with crown molding
throughout. Tropical palms, monkies, elephants and tiger themes.
This is not your usual rental condo. Very comfortable- nicer than
any hotel in the area. Our furniture will spoil you. Balcony furniture -with
lounge, dining table and chairs. Unit is fully equipped with all
luxuries for home and more! Kitchen has corian countertops, side-by-
side refrigerator with icemaker, built in microwave, dishwasher, and
solid surface range. The kitchen is stocked with all the necessary
dishware, cookware and utensils and more.  Unit is stocked with beach towels and built in hair dryers. We have gone the extra mile to welcome you to our piece of paradise! Our building sits right on the gulf. Wonderful Pool with large deck and boardwalk to beach. Shower & restrooms located at the pool. Free
beach service (umbrella & 2 chairs).

My stay at Island Princess was wonderful! The condo was spotless and well organized. Everything was just as promised. In addition, Wanda is courteous, professional, and very easy to work with. I look forward to staying here again when I'm in the Destin area.

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, romantic getaway

Royal accomodations at the Island Princess!

We hated to leave the Island Princess! The beautiful condo with AWESOME view was very spacious for my daughter and I. The layout was great with the master bedroom and bunkbeds in the front separated from the family room/kitchen area. The kitchen was fun to work in - so open to the ocean views. The master bed (only a double/full), bunkbed, family room furniture and dinette were so comfortable.
The condo was clean and well maintained. I personally didn't like the navy sheets on the master bed as they had been washed with white towels (that's me being picky!!)... but I switched with the white sofa bed sheets provided. The kitchen is set up with everything you need for cooking - but the one skillet is an old teflon that has been scorched and most teflon is gone. Bring your own skillet if you plan to cook with one! The pots and corningware were fine. Also be prepared to buy some supplies, depending on how long you are staying. You get one roll of toilet paper for each toilet, one roll of paper towels and two trash bags & dishwasher packets. We had a small issue with the dryer - it left black streaks on clothes. Fortunately, the first load was condo towels, so we air dryed the rest. The leasing agent called maintenance and they were going to repair it as soon as we left. Since it wasn't important to us, we preferred they didn't repair during our vacation, and they respected that. The pool was cleaned daily and is beautiful, which is nice because we were right above it. This condo was filled with families - sort of a family reunion place with seniors, parents and lots of water-winged kiddos!

What I liked about this location is that it is close to everything, but you can still get the castaway island feel... we spent 3 days without getting in our car! We hung out at the beach and rented boogy boards one day. We ate out only once - at Old Bay Steamer. Very pricey, but top notch seafood! One day we went to Panama City Beach and did the shelling/snorkeling/dolphin cruise through Islandtime Sailing. It was so much fun and well worth $35/each. Other than that, we just relaxed and enjoyed being lazy. I really appreciated the safe environment - definitely a family resort, not a college student hang out. As a single mom with teen daughter, I didn't have to worry about wild parties, unscrupulous characters, or any kind of crime. We felt very safe! This is a great vacation condo experience!!

Owners response: I want nothing, but the best for my guest. I was informed of only the dryer situation while the guest were renting. I wanted to send the maintenance man over for repairs and she denied us making the repairs and stated they didn't need it while they were there. The remainder, I was informed after the fact without a chance to fix the issues. Had I been informed of the skillet situation, I would have had new skillets raplaced in the unit, the very day it was reported. The sheet situation has been reported to housekeeping and I am assured it won't happen again. If this had been reported before the guest used the sofa sheets on the master bed, the housekeeping would have delivered and put new linen on the bed.

In the confirmation that I send to guest, I give my phone number in case of anything that might need to be addressed. I have had guest burn skillets and trash them and we are unaware until a guest lets us know or it is caught on our semi annual inventory. A complete inventory can't be done each departure due to time restraints. I am always responsive to my guest and their needs.

As I state in my rental agreement, you know what you are getting right up front. It states an initial setup of toilet tissue, paper towels and small bars of soap with a dishwsher paket will be furnished and condo rentals are not hotels. We don't charge the hefty prices that they charge for a room verses a full size home. The outcome was a pleasant visit and she will come back to this unit.
