Vacation Rental Description

Welcome to North Star Cottage, a charming lakefront property and all-
season house in historic Wilson, New York.

Niagara Falls is a half-hour drive along the scenic "Seaway Trail,"
passing the villages of Youngstown and Lewiston along the way.

Closer to "home," only steps from the cottage, is beautiful Wilson
Harbor, with restaurants, fishing pier, boardwalk, shops, boat
access, pool, and guided sailing and fishing trips on the lake.
Within a mile is the Wilson-Tuscarora State Park, with beach, picnic
areas, nature trails, and boat launch. Niagara-on-the-Lake is 30
minutes to the east, Buffalo is 45 minutes to the south, Toronto
less than two hours around the lake.

Vacation Rental Amenities

North Star Cottage can accommodate up to five persons in three
bedrooms, with one bedroom on the first floor and two on the second:
the first floor bedroom has a queen-sized bed; on the second floor,
there is one double bedroom and one single, and they share a
landing with lake view. New mattresses and quality linens are on
all beds, and you'll find fluffy duvets for cozy winter nights.

There is one full bath, with tub and shower. Towels are provided
for your convenience.

Five deck levels offer additional three-season space for relaxing or
entertaining, and easy access to the lake, with views of Toronto,
weekly sailing regattas, passing lake and ocean-going freighters.
From March to September, there are fabulous sunsets AND and remarkable
sunrises over the water. In fall and winter, the same is true for the
moon! After dark, you'll see the distant lights of greater Toronto like
jewels on the horizon, and a skyful of stars with the Big Dipper circling
the North Star above the lake.

The decks are furnished with tables, chairs, and umbrellas. Stairs
to each level end at the water. Water access is by a small dock, but
as lake levels vary throughout the season, you may find the remains
of a cement pier exposed, or even a small stone beach. Put in your
own kayak, rowboat, canoe, or inflatable dinghy.

The house is also equipped for cold-weather visits.

There is a fully equipped country kitchen, including stove, full-
size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, espresso press,
cuisinart blender, sandwich grill, pots and pans, utensils, china,
glassware, etc, plus an outdoor charcoal grill. A round table has
seating for six and a beautiful view of the lake.

A clothes washer and dryer, laundry soap, iron, and ironing board
are all available for your use.

The living room has comfortable seating with interesting antiques,
a TV with basic cable, and a DVD player. Many books and an assortment
of games are available for a rainy day.

A cozy sunroom is furnished in wicker and overlooks the deck and
water.

All rooms have some water views and pretty framed art, and the house
is within walking distance of two fishing piers and the scenic
harborfront.

The village center is less than a mile away, with grocery store,
restaurants, banks, and shops.

An excellent state park is a short drive or bike ride along the
lake. The village park is directly across the road from the cottage,
with a grass meadow, baseball diamonds, and a pine forest.
Pop over for a Little League game on spring and summer evenings, or listen
from the front porch rockers.

Two driveways provide adequate off-street parking for up to three cars.

North Star is a smoke-free environment.

Come and share beautiful sunsets that last and last, followed by
romantic star-filled nights!
