Vacation Rental Description

Beautiful mountain home in a wooded setting.  2,500 Square Feet  of 
comfortable living.  Two hours from Livermore and located in the
Brentwood area of Twain Harte on a 2/3 acre lot with lots of 
privacy. 

NEW FOR 2008:  The Norse Hus now accepts credit card payments
by phone or email.  Send us an email for details.    

Four bedroom, 2 bath, in 2 stories:   
*  Upper (main) floor:  Living room, den with fireplace, dining 
room, 
master bed (w/ second private deck), one bath, and main deck access. 
*  Lower floor:  Three bed,1 bath, and large family room with pool 
table and pellet stove.  

Wrap-around deck with furniture for summer entertaining, or just rest
on the hammock while listening to the creek.  This is not an income
property, but our private vacation home and comes with personal 
touches.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The Cabin is set up to accommodate families with children, but is 
also very nice for a peaceful retreat.

The Cabin sleeps 9 to 12 in beds, plus 6 more in convertable couches
and roll-aways (perfect for two families.)  Two car garage with ample
off street  parking for cars and boat.  Two TVs (no cable), two VCRs,
two DVDs, Stereo, answering machine, High Speed Wireless Internet
access, and two (2) charcoal barbecues.  Spacious
kitchen has all appliances including dishwasher, disposal, and
microwave.  House has a pool table. Property has a horseshoe pit and a
tire swing.  A short 1.5 mile walk to charming downtown Twain Harte
and Twain Harte Lake, 9-hole golf, miniature golf, restaurants,
Saturday night music in the park, laundry, and community pool.

including additional information such as bed sizes/locations, detail
kitchen facilities, dining arrangements, and other particulars.
  

Activities and Attractions

In the Winter:
Twenty miles to Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, Leland Meadows sledding hill,
and Snow Park (snowmobiles).  Ice skating in Long Barn.
 
In the Summer:
Free swimming at beautiful Pinecrest Lake (20 minutes up the road),
Kennedy Meadows (horse back riding), Emigrant Wilderness hiking,
Stanislaus River swimming and hiking, Tuolumne River (river rafting),
New Melones(water ski lake), outdoor movies at Pinecrest Lake, tons of
hiking and
biking everywhere for family and for challenge.  Community Pool
downtown Twain Harte for reasonable rates.

Any Time of Year:
Fourteen miles to Sonora, six miles to Black Oak Casino in Tuolumne
City (with bowling alley and arcade for the whole family!).  Also,
Historic Columbia, Jamestown, Railtown train museum, and Saddle Creek
and Mountain Springs championship golf courses.  Twain Harte has a
nine hole pitch and put golf course downtown.  10 screen movie theater
in Sonora.  Twain Harte features two fine dining restaurants and
multiple family restaurant choices.

Cabin has brochures for most of the local recreation, shopping and
sightseeing opportunities.

Vacation Rental Rates

Rates are as follows (two night minimum):

Weekends and Holidays: $225/night (2 night minimum - 3  on holidays).
 Weekends are from Friday to Sunday (4 PM arrival, 11 AM departure).

Weekday Rates:  $200/night (2 night minimum).  Weekdays are Sunday
through Friday (4 PM arrival, 11 AM departure).

Week: $1,250/week.  Week rentals are Friday to Friday or Monday to
Monday (4 PM arrival, 11:00 AM departure).  Sunday to Sunday rental
may be possible by special request.

Holidays are:  MLK Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July,
Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, Friday after Thanksgiving,
Christmas eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day.

$200 Refundable Deposit due at reservation.  Deposit may be higher 
for more than 12 people.  $90 cleaning fee deducted.  Full rental
amount due 21 days (three weeks) before rental date.

$25 cancellation fee, Deposit non-refundable if cancellation is less 
than 30 days before rental date.

BYO:  Sheets & Towels (1 Qn., 3 dbl., 4 Sngl.).

Please check calendar for availability - we keep the calendar
up-to-date.  Also, a blocked date on the calendar
may only mean a 4 pm arrival, so an 11 am departure on that same day
is usually possible.

No smoking, One adult dog by arrangement.  No other pets
