with kayaks for use. Cathedral ceiling in living room/dining area.
Large deck for enjoying the view of the lake.
Located within minutes of Acadia National Park and public fresh beach.
Enjoy the "quiet side" of Mt. Desert Island. It includes a finished
loft area with game table, desk and couch. Fully insulated for Winter
with oil heat furnace.
Just added: Outside fire pit area with picnic table & lawn furniture.

answering machine, all cooking utensils, dishes, basic cooking

This cottage was perfect for our family to explore Mt. Desert Island. All areas were easily accessible with a car. The owners were very helpful, and live right next door if you need them. They suggested great ideas for restaurants nearby. The house was very clean and just as was presented in the ad.

My 3 kids, between ages 5 and 12, had a great time swimming in the lake. We didn't realize that there are very few lakes you can swim in, so it was great that we could just jump off the dock. We also took advantage of the kayaks. Thank you!! Our kids now want one of their own. The street is a main road on the island, and busy at times. We never had a problem crossing the street, or with an excessive amount of noise from the road. There are some trees and a hill between the house and the street.

It was a great week and we look forward to coming back, and would definitely stay here again. We have already recommended it to friends!

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, pet-friendly, sight seeing

Great house -busy road

This is a cute cottage for a family with a dog. It is in close proximity to Acadia, a grocery store, restaurants, etc.

The only drawback to this house is that it is close to a very busy road. This is the same road that you need to cross to get to the dock. It is a 50mph road and you hear the cars on it all day long.

The owners live right next door and are delightful.

Recommended for: families with young children, pet-friendly
