August House on Lake Rabun in Lake Rabun

'August House' is where memories are made on Lake Rabun, known for
its cool, clear water, fed by mountain streams. Summer evenings are
comfortable and sometimes cool, and fall offers a colorful display
unique to the region.

This 3000 square feet home is located on a quiet cove and is fully
furnished and equipped and beautifully decorated. On three
levels, 'August House' features five spacious bedrooms, four full
baths, a covered deck with outside fireplace, and a boathouse for
relaxing and entertaining. Bring your own boat or Jet Ski. No Smoking
and No Pets, no exceptions.

900 acre Lake Rabun was built in 1915 by Georgia Power, therefore
many lakeside residences in the area have historic appeal. 'August
House' is a modern home, built in 1993, with everything included.
Just bring your toothbrush!

A shoreline 'cocktail cruise' is an experience in itself, not only
for the natural beauty, but as well for viewing many of the mountain
mansions that dot the shoreline. But Lake Rabun is a friendly place,
where it's customary to wave at every passing boat.

Summer is by the week only. Depending on the number of occupants, the
daily rate is a minimum of $450 with two
night minimum, when available. $150 cleaning fee for all rentals via
check made payable to the housekeeper. State, local and bed tax
totals 10%.

$500 security deposit.
