Margaret and Bill Blackman offer you a warm English/Bajan welcome to their comfortable apartment Tightlines.  A delightful, recently constructed two double bedroomed apartment located on the border of the Parish of St. James and St. Peter, next to the village of Rock Dundo, and just a five minute drive or 20 minute walk to both Gibbs and Mullins beach.

Tightlines is so called because of the owners passion for fishing.

The apartment is attractive, clean and modern.

It is an ideal place to relax and enjoy Barbados being some 400ft above sea level. This charming location benefits from a cooling breeze from the hills.

There is a local store and bar within walking distance, where provisions can be bought and meals such as chicken, fish, pork ribs and maccaroni pie can be purchased and ether eaten in the bar or taken home.

Accommodation (sleeps 4)

Accommodation consists of two large double bedrooms, one containing a double bed and the other containing twin beds. Each bedroom contains a modern wardrobe, dressing table and a set of drawers.

Each bedroom has a free standing fan. Air Conditioning is available in the twin bedroom for a small charge of $10 U.S. per night. For bedroom use only.

There is a folding single bed and cot available.

The bathroom has a good size walk in shower, and a duel voltage 110V/240V shaver point.

There is a well-equipped fitted kitchen with all modern appliances including a fridge freezer, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board. The cooker is full size with hob and grill.

The spacious lounge/dining area is tastefully furnished and has a free standing fan.

The apartment is fitted with dual 110V - 240 voltage.

There is a safe suitable for keeping passports etc.

There is a covered patio area and an enclosed garden in which to sunbathe and a barbecue should you wish to cook outdoors.

All linen and towels are provided with the exception of beach towels. Linen is changed weekly.

There is a phone and all local calls are free. 

Wireless internet access is available and free of charge.

The apartment has satellite T.V., DVD, C.D. player. and WIFI

Fishing trips for two -four persons can be arranged with instruction on how to cook your catch.

Bill is  a professional photographer with one of Barbados top holiday resorts, so if you are visiting Barbados to celebrate a birthday or anniversary or just want a picture taken on the beach at sunset he will be happy to do that for you.

We can arrange transfers too and from the airport, and we have negotiated an excellent deal with our local Car Hire firm especially for our Tightline guests. Your hire car can be delivered to the airport. There is ample off road parking.

The apartment is on ground level with easy access. The owners live above in their own separate home.
The apartment is new, only being completed in February 2004.

Tight Lines is situated just off highway 2A, and one and a half kilometers inland from the west coast road. Its nearest beach, the secluded Gibbs beach is one of the most beautiful in Barbados. Close also is the superb Mullins beach with its watersports, bar, and other leisure facilities. The dramatic and beautiful East coast is a 20 minute drive away.

A local mini-market and bar are within walking distance and there are supermarkets and banks at Holetown and Speightstown.
Local dining from Kentucky fried chicken to 5 star restaurants can also be found along the west coast road.

Golf courses are within easy reach including Royal Westmoreland and Sandy Lane.

Within the local area:
Folkestone Marine Reserve and Visitors Center in Holetown and Barbados Wildlife Reserve in St Peter, where you can mingle with wild monkeys, deer, and more.

Tighlines is just off the main Highway 2A so you can reach all other attractions and places of interest easily, such as:

Farley Hill National Park
Orchid World
Harrisons Cave 
St Nicholas Abbey
Historic Speightstown
Welchman Hall Gulley

The airport is a 45 minute drive, Bridgetown approximately 30 minutes, Holetown 15 minutes and Speightstown 10 minutes.
Car Hire is strongly recommended. Bus routes are close at hand and Barbados has a good taxi service.

The year round nightly rate is $50 U.S. based on two people sharing.

The rate for an extra person is $10 U.S. per night. The apartment sleeps four.

We may be able to offer a discount for a longer stay or at certain times please ask.

Rates are for the rental of the entire apartment.

To secure a booking. 10% of the whole rate is required.

The balance is due on arrival. We regret that we do not take credit cards or cheques on arrival. We are happy to take a cheque as a deposit.

Air Conditioning for the twin bedroom only is optional at $10 U.S. per night. 

The minimum rental for Tightlines is 1 whole week.
