Located just over a mile north of the quiet fishing village of Puerto 
Morelos, Mexico, on the Yucatan peninsula, Casbah Del Mar is a 
luxurious condo rental available for your vacation. 
 
Casbah del Mar is a 2 bed/2 bath luxury condo located directly on the 
ocean in beautiful Puerto Morelos, Mexico. Designed for indulgent 
relaxation and getting away, a stay at the Moroccan-inspired Casbah 
Del Mar is best served chilled... 
 
Not your typical condo, this rental comes with a very large furnished 
terrace that overlooks the azure ocean. The terrace contains 
comfortable seating for six and a separate seating area for 
conversation and entertaining. This fully-equipped unit contains a 
master suite and a guest bedroom, for a total of four adult guests. 
 
The well-kept grounds contain a swimming pool with beach access. 
Having just six units in the building allows for intimacy and privacy. 
 
Only a short twenty-minute walk to town along the beach, Casbah Del 
Mar sits in a quiet little section of beach homes secluded from 
traffic and noise. We have discovered that this little area of the 
Yucatan has managed to keep its charm and character, and we want to

Activities and Attractions

Only a 10 minute bicycle ride from Casbah Del Mar (20 minute walk), 
Puerto Morelos is a coastal town in Quintana Roo on the Yucatan 
Peninsula, about 20km south of Cancun. It is both a fishing village 
and a resort and diving destination. It is located roughly halfway 
between Cancun and Playa del Carmen on the Carribean coast of Mexico's 
Yucatán Peninsula. The pier in the center of town hosts snorkel and 
sport fishing boats while yachts dock in a man-made harbor just south 
of town. 
 
It's the ideal location for those who want a quiet beach vacation away 
from the noise and crowds, but with ample tourist amenities. The town 
has just two principal streets and you can walk from one end to the 
other in about 15 minutes. A very popular place in town is the town 
square at night, where families gather and meet. 
 
You can get by with English, but Spanish is not superfluous. Most 
places accept US dollars but not credit cards. Almost all prices are 
quoted in Mexican pesos and it is generally cheaper to pay in pesos, 
than in US dollars. 
 
The reef just off the shore is a protected national marine park. 
Buildings in Puerto Morelos are limited to three stories by local 
bylaws, to preserve the village type of character. 
 
There are two parts to Puerto Morelos, the former fishing village on 
the coast, now built with small hotels, condominiums, quite a few 
decent (and some excellent!) restaurants and shops, and the second 
local residential part about 2 Km. inland and adjacent to Highway 307, 
on the western side. 
 
The town does have ATMs, some Internet cafes, a grocery store, a 
fishing cooperative with fresh fish sales every weekday (highly 
recommended!), a wonderful English-language bookstore, dive shops and 
a funky artisan "mall" that sells many local arts and crafts.
