Vacation Rental Description

     The jewel of Ensenada´s northern coast, the Baja House offers you all the comforts of home in a  
serene landscape of nature, sea and sky. Set on a spectacular oceanview hilltop in exclusive  
Cíbola del Mar, a safe, gated community about an hour south of San Diego, California and just 
15 minutes north of Ensenada, this magical Baja getaway offers breathtaking views of Ensenada Bay  
and Todos Santos Islands as well as the famous San Miguel surf beach.  
   The Baja House´s artistic architecture and interiors blend Southwestern pueblo  
and Mexican Mediterranean styles in a romantic vacation home built from handmade adobes and  
featuring local stone and boulders, clay tiles, rustic wooden beams and hand-carved columns. Native  
Baja Indian pottery, basketry, exotic textiles and other traditional arts adorn niches and earthen  
walls. Mexican tile adds a folkloric splash of color to the kitchen and bathrooms.   
   The comfortable living space extends into a landscape of fascinating native plants, including  
rare endemic blue palms, silver succulent live-forevers and golden barrel cactus. Our guests unwind  
in the ocean-view gardens, patios, terraces and walkways which are shared with hummingbirds,  
roadrunners, quail, rabbits and other wildlife.  
   The tranquil ambience inspires deep rest and relaxation, and is a wonderful place to read, listen  
to music, chill in our ocean-view hammocks, watch the sunset, sit by the great stone fireplace, the  
terrace firepit or gather with family and friends in the dining and living rooms to enjoy panoramic  
views of the Pacific Ocean and islands.  
    Personal or group retreats are also welcome; for larger groups an additional adjacent home with  
room for 5-7 is also available.

Activities and Attractions

    The Baja House is a perfect homebase to explore the many attractions our region has to offer,  
including restaurants, winetasting, nightlife, ocean activities, hiking, cultural and  
historical museums, shopping and cafés.   
    San Miguel Village with its famous surfing beach is only minutes away; keep an eye on the waves  
from the living room. Watch whales (in season), dolphins and other sea life. Sand swimming beaches  
are about 20 minute drive either north or south.  
    Go for a hike or mountain bike ride through the hills right from home.   
    Your host provides useful information for visitors, including trip planning information, local  
tourism maps and guides. For those interested in learning more about the natural, cultural and  
historic heritage of Baja California, our experienced and knowledgable guide service will custom  
design your adventures to wineries, local indigenous communities, historic sites, hot springs and  
spectacular natural landscapes (see guide rates).

Vacation Rental Rates

per night $250 
per week $1500  
(Plus $100 refundable security deposit)  
Max 5-8 persons; Ask about our special rates for 1-2 persons. 
Two nights minimum stay; holiday weekends—three nights minimum stay. 
Optional: specialized guide service may also be requested; we will custom design local tours for  
you: $25 per hour. 
No excessively loud party people please.  
Smoking in outdoor areas only (patios, gardens, terraces).  
 
Cancellation Policy: Tenant will forfeit 10% of total amount (rent plus security deposit) if  
cancelled up to 30 days before check-in date; tenant will forfeit 25% of total amount if cancelled  
29--10 days before check-in date; tenant will forfeit 50% of total amount if cancelled within less  
than 10 days of check-in date.
