Whitetail Hide-Away Cabin in scenic Blue Ridge Mountains in Bedford

Whitetail Hide-Away is located in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Bedford County. It is nestled in a private, wooded setting. There is a gurgling creek directly behind the cottage.

This makes for a great romantic get-away. It has been very popular with couples on their honeymoon, celebrating anniversaries or just looking for quiet secluded place to rekindle the flame. It is very private there are no other homes nearby. If you're looking for scenic, peaceful place to retreat from everyday stress this is it.

This cottage has spiralling steps to the upper and lower floors. It has a full bath on the upper level. The upper level has a king-size bed. The living room has a queen size sleep sofa. The lower room has a full size bed.

The lower level also opens to a covered and screened patio with a 5-person spa in which to relax. We are meticulous in cleaning and maintaining our spa.

This A-frame cabin has the amenities of home. It has 1 king-size bed, 1 full bed and a queen-size sleep sofa.  Sattelite TV with DVD/VHS player along with many DVD's.  It is air-conditioned and has electric heat.  There is full linen service provided at no charge.  Extra blankets provided.  We have a great hot tub for relaxing.  The hot tub is in a covered screened-in patio to provide year-round relaxation.

The kitchen is fully equipped.   There is living room and kitchen combined on the entry level.  There is one bedroom upstairs and one bedroom downstairs.  The living room has a queen sized sleep sofa.   It has a deck just off living room that overlooks a mountain creek.

The kitchen is equipped with microwave, range, refrigerator, coffee maker, pots & pans, toaster, blender and tableware. It is also furnished with a gas grill for cooking-out on the deck. It does not have a dishwasher or washer/dryer.

This cottage is located only 4 miles from the James River, which is
noted for excellent smallmouth bass fishing, canoeing and kayaking.
It is also near the Balcony Falls area of the James, a float fishing
paradise. Within 10 miles are three river access points for boats
and canoes. There are several native trout streams nearby.

Nearby are several apple orchards: Gross, Johnson, Arrington and Kennedy.  The Gross & Johnson Orchards offer festivals in the Fall.

The rental rate is $115 per night or $700 per week for 2 adults. It is
an additional $10 per night per adult beyond 2 adults. This fee does
not apply to children. For example: 3 adults would be $125/night and
4 adults would be $135/night, etc. Should it be necessary to cancel
a reservation and notice is made at least 14 days prior to arrival
date then a full refund will be made. For cancellations with less
than 14 days notice the deposit will be forfeited.


Reservations require a two night minimum. A deposit of half the
total is required to hold the reservation. Maximum of 6 occupants.
This is a no-smoking & no-pets cabin.
