Vacation Rental Description

Cape San Blas is right before the St. Joseph State Park, which was
rated the most beautiful beach in the U.S. by Dr. Beach's annual
rating.  The dunes remain in their natural state...in some place up to
30 ft high.  Walking in the wooded dunes is a real treat.  It is very
enjoyable to visit the State Park and hike out toward the tip of the
Cape and enjoy natural wildlife along the way. 
 
There are no bars or motels on the Cape and traffic is limited to
people renting homes, state park visitors and homeowners.  Cape San
Blas is sparsely developed with plenty of open areas for meandering. 
If you need a restful break, this is the place!

You can fish right out on the beach and at the right time of the year
you can catch blue crabs.  The best fishing is at an areas called the
"stumps" about 2 miles from the house.  Look for the rock barrier wall
on the Gulf side..that's where it is.  It is also fun to take a boat
out into the bay where the fishing and scalloping is good.  The bay is
also great for snorkeling.  There are areas in the State Park that are
shallow where you can walk out waist deep then lay down to snorkel. 
The only two "grocery stores" are the Tradin Post and the BP where the
atmosphere is family/folksy and you can get almost anything you need.
The closest real grocery store is about 10 minutes in Port St. Joe. 

Appalachicola is only 20 mintues away and has some quaint shops and
great restaurants.  Panama City Beach is just over an hour.  Spend
your days relaxing on the beach without the crowds and take an evening
stroll on horseback.  Something for everyone!
 
Our home is Sweet Sunsation, a new "orange" beach cottage.  It feels
like coming home at the beach!  New home decorated like a cottage
beach house and WHAT A VIEW!!!!  The beach is just a few steps from
your front door.  The beach is clean, private and very safe and family
oriented.  Leave your belongings on the beach and no worries! 

This no pets/non-smoking house has 2 bedrooms, 2 full baths and 1 
queen
sleeper sofa.  The beds are king and queen.  Hardwoods and tile
throughout the main floor, master is the entire second floor with
large sitting areas and you can hear the ocean all night. This house
has an enclosed garage with garage door opener.  Beautifully decorated
and very comfortable and homey.   Listen to the waves, eat out on the
deck, go to the roof of the house and you can see Port
St. Joe and
Mexico Beach on a clear day.  The sunrises and sunsets are a sight to
behold from the deck of this little piece of heaven.  When the moon is
full, it reflects off the beautiful ocean and you could lull yourself
to sleep right there on the deck.
