New Home just One Block from the Beach! in South Haven

"Lakewood Cottage" is located on a quiet street just one block from the First
Street beach access. This cape cod style home was built in 2005
and decorated in cottage style splendor. This home has
everything you need for a relaxing and memorable vacation.
This two story home boasts a convenient floor plan which can
accommodate an individual family, multiple families or multiple couples. With
a total of 2200 square feet, the main floor includes the following:
kitchen (brand new stainless steel appliances including dishwasher),
dining room (open to kitchen), living room (tv w/vcr/dvd and cable),
master bedroom (queen bed), master bath (large shower), bedroom #2
(twin on full bunk bed), bathroom #2 (tub and shower), laundry room
(washer and dryer), and front covered porch.
The upstairs includes: sitting room (full size futon
and tv w/dvd), bedroom #3 (queen bed and twin bed with patio doors opening onto
private upper covered porch), bedroom #4 (king size bed and two twin beds), and
bathroom #3 (large shower).
The exterior of this home has a flat grassy yard with large shade trees.  In addition to the two front covered
porches, there is a patio in the rear of the home. The driveway is
large enough to provide ample parking.
While this home is located on a quiet street, it is just two
minutes from downtown South Haven which is alive with activities in
the summer.

We offer all of the amenities of home. (And maybe a few more!)
The kitchen is fully equipped with all major appliances (stove,
refrigerator, small refrigerator for drinks, microwave, dishwasher) as well as small appliances (coffee maker, toaster, blender). It is also stocked with
silverware, dishes, cookware, and utensils. We have everything from
paper products to dish soap available for your use.
The bathrooms are stocked with towels and washclothes as well
as paper products and soap. We do ask that you provide your own
beach towels.
The bedrooms are comfortably furnished and include new linens,
pillows, blankets and comforters.
General amenities include: central air conditioning, cable tv,
vcr/dvd players, board games, books, gas
grill, washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, and a
portable crib.
We also offer special services to our guests which include
grocery shopping. Instead of packing the car with groceries or
making your first stop in town the grocery store, we will fully
stock the kitchen according to your personal menu plan.

South Haven is a four season vacation destination with a huge
range of activities to choose from that are conveniently located
within a short distance. Some of these activities include:
agriculture (strawberry and blueberry picking), antiquing, art, auto
racing, biking, boating & cruises, dining, festivals, fishing
(including charters), go-carts, golf, hiking, museums, paint ball,
parks, wineries, and winter activities such a cross-country skiing,
ice skating (downtown), and snowmobiling.
South Haven is centrally located to many major cities which
makes for easy travel. It is 2 hours from Chicago, 3 hours from
Detroit, 1 hour from South Bend, and 1 hour from Grand Rapids.

If you are attending the Senior PGA Championship Tournament in Benton Harbor/St. Joseph in May of 2012, we are an easy 30 minute drive to the course.

Lakewood Cottage is available during the summer season (June
15, 2012 through August 24, 2012) for a rate of $2,200.00 per
week.
During the off season, the cottage is available per night with a two
night minimum or by the week. We require a 50% deposit within 10
days of reserving the cottage to hold the week. The remaining 50%
is due 60 days prior to the arrival date along with a security
deposit in the amount of $250. The security deposit will be
returned within 30 days of departure.

Should a cancellation be necessary, we charge a $50 flat fee.
If the cottage can be re-booked for the week, all funds will be
returned less the $50 cancellation fee. If the cottage can not be
re-booked, all funds paid will be forfeited less the security
deposit.

For multiple week bookings at the same house, we offer the choice of a discount
on the second week of $200 or full housekeeping services mid-stay.

In Season: Check In is Friday after 3:00 p.m. EST.
Check Out is the following Friday prior to 10:00
