River View Lodge in Black Hills

Have you ever wanted a peaceful getaway that is "off the beaten
path?"
South Dakota prairie is a wide open treasure of stars,sunsets,
sunrises,wildlife and tranquility.
We are also located about one hour's drive from the most popular
tourism destinations, Mount Rushmore, The Badlands, Deadwood, and
Custer State Park. Located in Western South Dakota, we are 18 miles
north of Interstate 90 on the New Underwood Road exit near Rapid
City.
The western flavor abounds, since the lodge is located
on a large four generation working cattle ranch where you can feel
free to just enjoy the quiet or explore the prairie.
We only rent to one group at a time, so you will have the place to yourself.
Check in late afternoon to early evening to get the
most of our views and peaceful setting. The coffee's on and Grandma
Helen's cookies are always available.
Wireless internet has just been installed.

Our beautiful lodge has all you need to feel at home, fully
equiped kitchen, large deck with big grill,and laundry facilities.
The beds are made and the towels are out, you can just settle in.
Most of our guests spend at least one day just sitting on the deck
enjoying the view and the prairie wildlife.
Grill up some steaks, fly a kite, bird watch,hike down to the river
and catfish, just decompress from your busy life.

The River View Lodge is a great spot for intimate weddings, small
conferences, and special events.
Take time to watch the incredible South Dakota sunrises and sunsets,
stargaze far from the city lights,explore the prairie or try you
hand at photography or art.Go fossil hunting along our creeks and
river, or catch a channel catfish or large mouth bass.Hike where you
are the only one on the trail.
We now offer guided photo shoot hunts as well as hunting packages
for mule deer, whitetail deer, antelope, pheasant, sharp tail
grouse, turkey, and varmint hunting.

Floor #1 “Stetson” - Our Largest Suite
Cowboy décor sets the stage to enjoy vast prairie views from the
trapezoid windows or stroll out on your own private balcony for
coffee. This large room features a pillow top queen bed and twin bed
with a private bath and super size shower.
The connecting loft has more views of the Belle Fourche River and a sitting area.

Floor #2 “Prairie Belle”
Snuggle down in the comfy pillow top queen bed with northwest
views. Located on the main floor, access is easy with some
handicapped accommodations.(two steps into this floor)
Private bath across the hall features a pedestal sink,claw foot tub, and roomy
shower.
Sit by the fire or enjoy the large deck in this home away
from home.

Floor #3 the "Windchester"
If you are a sportsman, you will enjoy the cedar wood and wild life
theme in this lower level.

Whole House Rental is $320 a night for up to 8, off season $260.
Our couples special is the entire house for 2 for $195 a night.
6 night rate of $1,920 in season $1,560 off season, 5% tax but no other fees.
• Reservation Deposit is 50% of total. Personal checks accepted, no
credit cards. Cancellation at 30 days prior will be fully refunded
except during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally and holidays ,
at shorter notice the deposit is refunded if the room is rented.
. Pets are not allowed inside the lodge.
• Well-behaved children over 10 years of age are welcome.Exceptions
can be made,but we are not small child friendly. Please call.
• Due to owner being allergic to cigarette smoke, only outdoor
smoking allowed please.
