Very Private Mountain Retreat in Lake Placid

After a day hiking or skiing the slopes, why not enjoy a night away
from the crowds in a secluded villa on a mountain of your own. This
chalet accommodates up to six adults (two couples is optimal)--with
plenty of privacy. Two wood burning stoves on separate floors give
you all the togetherness and separateness you could wish for, and
again, privacy is key you have your own mile-long drive from the
street to the house. You'll be able to make snow angels in the
meadow in the winter, play frisbee or baseball in the summer, all
without seeing the smoke from your neighbor's chimney.

In Keene, NY, this house is near all winter sports, the summer horse
show and the Olympic Village events. Food? You can cook in a fully
furnished kitchen or go down the road a piece (less than 2 miles)
for five-star restaurant dining, or a pizza.

You can also walk to the trail to Baxter Mountain for an unrivaled
view of the high peaks on a trail fit for beginners or more
experienced hikers. Want to veg out? There's a TV with satellite and
VCR/DVD as well as a stereo.

If nature's more your passion, there are deer in the meadows,
beavers swimming in the stream below the house, and the occasional
blue heron and raptor whose flying patterns go directly over the deck.
Many people who have rented this house have returned the following season.
