Vacation Rental Description

Long summer getaway weekends are a real deal!   A truly unique property, and designed with a  
nautical, cottage style, this charming, waterfront cabana apartment has its own heated pool,  
boatdock, and canal-front ambiance, and is just a short 2 block stroll to the Beach!   
Bring a boat, and/or bring your pet, without incurring extra charges. 
 
Surrounded by lush foliage, twinkling night lights, and the tropical  
symphony of splashing pelicans, jumping fish, and swaying palms, The  
Cabana is a paradise hideaway.  A 5 minute walk through a quiet  
neighborhood, to famous Fort Myers Beach, and tucked away on a pretty  
and residential street, this wonderful large, 3 apt. guesthouse is inspired  
by the serene canal and boatdock it sits beside. 
   
The private, solar-heated pool is just beyond The Cabana livingroom, and the entire  
lanai and pool deck area is a riot of flowers and fauna,  
wicker furniture and a relaxed ambiance perfect for dining, dancing,  
sunning, floating, napping, reading, or just soaking up the wonder  
of it all.  (it might be said here, that The Cabana makes the most  
idyllic honeymoon paradise.) 
 
The owner's quarters are on the second floor, and The Cabana is on  
the ground level with no stairs to climb, plus its own off-street  
driveway for parking, and an especially beautiful, private entrance.   
There are bicycles to explore with, fishing poles to fish with, and  
guides to thrift shopping and antiqueing, as well as fine  
restaurants, grocery stores, churches and medical facilities right  
here on the beach. 
The owner's own antique boutique offers Cabana guests a special  
discount when they stop by the shop during their stay at the house. 
 
Guests who bring their pet will be advised on fun, permissible  
activities that will entertain the whole family, and those who wish  
to BRING THEIR BOAT OR WAVERUNNERS, can make arrangements to keep their  
toys right here at the dock for the most convenient access possible! 
 
 
The Cabana is a non-smoking home, and this includes the lanai and porch areas. However, guests of  
guests who smoke, and visit for lunch or dinner, may smoke out on the boat dock.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The Cabana has its own driveway with room to park 2 cars, or 1 car  
and a boat trailer.   
Arrangements may be made to keep a boat at the dock just outside the  
apt. door.  Fishing rods and basic equipment is available for  
dockside or beachside fishing, plus there are many boat charters and 
rental opportunities available. 
 
Bicycles are on site and there are scooters to rent in town, and a  
cheap trolley that travels up and down the beach all day and evening. 
An interesting itinery for the antique shopper or thrift store  
afficianado is available, as well as a standard discount to guests  
who visit the owner's unique, eclectic antique shop. 
For those who prefer not to walk, there is parking right at the end  
of our street, at the beach.  
There is a private telephone for local calls, cable t.v.with  
HBO & Encore,a VCR, a stereo to play favorite cds,and lots of cool  
stuff like pool toys, binoculars,coffee and muffins on Sunday  
mornings, and the canine hostess, Abigail, the resident Great  
Pyrenees, and his sidekick felinefriend, "Sadie".   
All the usual amenities prevail, including air conditioning, an iron  
and blender, coffeemaker,dinnerware, cookware, linens and towels, a  
gas grill, and microwave, stove/oven, but no dishwasher.  
There is one bedroom with a queen bed and a pullout couch in the  
livingroom for a nice double bed. 
   
Ft. Myers Beach boasts 2 supermarkets, a smalll health clinic,too  
many restaurants to count, and sundry little beachshops that will  
take you parasailing, rent you jet skiis or boats, lease you a  
seaside umbrella chair, braid your hair, or tatoo you!

Activities and Attractions

Ft. Myers Beach has its own golf course with access to a dozen or  
more in a 25 mile radius.  Several miniature golf courses are close  
by, plus the BeachBowl and a number of tennis courts that should   
keep even the most active vacationer happily engaged. 
Sanibel Island is a popular destination where the shelling is world  
famous, and in the other direction Naples shopping and dining is  
legendary.   
Ft. Myers Beach also offers a one day boat excursion to Key West,  
where, if you so arrange it, plan on staying overnight and coming  
back on the boat the next day. 
Ft. Myers Beach is a sleepy little seaside town that wakes up and  
jumps around for a few months each winter; and whether you choose to  
join in or watch from the side, The Cabana might just be the right  
place to be.

Vacation Rental Rates

May 1st through October 31st -------------------$650.00 weekly  
November 1st through April 30th ---$900.00 weekly - Ask about  
specials!  
Getaway Weekends (Friday 10 am - Sunday 6pm) ---------$225.00, and  
includes continental brkfsts. both mornings.  
 
A $250.00 security deposit is requested upon check-in, and returned  
within 2 weeks of departure. 
 
A half-down deposit is required to secure a reservation. 
Refunds are made when a cancellation is made 30 days or longer prior  
to check-in.  Cancellations made within 30 days, are returned when  
the time reserved is re-booked.
