Mountain View is a 3 bedroom chalet style house with two baths. The
first floor has a large deck, suitable for sunbathing, grilling and
eating at the table.
One bedroom (queen bed)and a 3/4 bath is located on the first floor
as well as a full kitchen, dining area and livingroom with woodstove.
The second floor master bedroom (king bed)with a skylight for star
gazing has a private deck. Also on the second floor is a small
bedroom with bunkbeds and a full bathroom.
Mountain View is secluded high on a hilltop in the balsam woods of
Acadia with panoramic views of Somes Sound and Cadilac Mountain. Bar
Harbor, hiking, canoeing, kayaking and all the attractions of Mount
Desert Island are minutes away.
Mountain View is ideal for two couples to share, with a bedroom on
the first floor and bath and the large bedroom on the second floor
with a bath.

Mountain View has a full kitchen with all conveniences- stove &
oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster - except a dishwasher. But
who wants to cook every meal with such great restaurants nearby!?
There is a full-sized washer & dryer, a woodstove, gas grill, picnic
table and chairs. There is no cable TV, but there is a television
with DVD/VCR. There is a telephone, but no hi-speed internet access.
Rentals include all linens, including sheets and towels.

Mountain View is located on Mt. Desert Island, so all the
attractions of Acadia and Bar Harbor are minutes away. Bike, kayak
and canoe rentals are available in Sounthwest Harbor. The house is
a 5 minute walk from downtown Southwest Harbor a quaint and quiet
village. Some of the best hiking trails on the island are only 15
minutes away. A fresh-water beach (Echo Lake) is nearby, which is
great for small children.

vacation rental rates

The house is available for rent from late June to Labor Day- for a
minimum of one week. Rates are $1,100 per week from Mid July to
Labor Day. Late June and early July rates are $895/week. SPECIAL
RATES ARE AVAILABLE FOR A MONTH RENTAL, OR RENTALS LONGER THAN 1
WEEK.
The rental period is Saturday to Saturday. Pets are allowed on case-
to case with an additional deposit.
Check-in time is after 2:00 PM and check-out is 10:00 AM.

This is strictly a non-smoking house.
