This beautiful, just refurbished apartment is a part of what was
originally the building owner's home and has miraculously retained
most of the original features dating back to 1898, date of
completion of the house. It is composed of 2 very large rooms (over
40 m2 each) , one a bedroom and the other the living-room. The 14
feet high ceilings with wonderful mouldings, the period stained-
glass windows by Miksa Roth, leading artist of the time, the period
onyx fireplace, the gilded wood-paneling and an ornate venetian
mirror all contribute to making a stay here a special experience,
allowing to enjoy a feel of the past and the comfort of today.
The whole apartment was just renovated: the brand-new kitchen is
fully equipped (washer-drier / dish-washer, etc) as is the bathroom.
The decoration is stylish and soothing, in soft tones of yellow and
reddish-brown.
The living-room, which faces south, opens onto a nice balcony
equipped with a table and chairs, from where you can watch the world
go by on the square and park downstairs.
The apartment is on the first floor of a beautifully ornate, if
somewhat run-down 3 floor house equipped with an elevator.
It is ideal for up to 4 people: there is a queen bed in the bedroom
and 2 very comfortable day-beds in the living-room.
Washer-drier, dishwasher, micro-wave oven, electric coffe-maker,
toaster, cable TV with foreign language channels, CD player
Beautiful gas fireplace
Guarded parking lot in the neighborhood
The apartment is very central, on a square off the circular
boulevard of Budapest (körút) . The trams 4 and 6, which run without
interruption day and night stop right on the square. One metro line
is a 5 minute walk and the other one is 2 tram stops away.
One of the delights of the apartment is the great market hall
downstairs: it has dozens of stalls selling meat, milk products,
fresh vegetable and fruits. Small producers also come to sell their
own product. The market hall also houses a supermarket, a drugstore,
a bakery and several food stalls.
Apart from the market, there are plenty of shops of all kinds,
restaurants and cafés in the immediate vicinity. The Music Academy,
the Opera, the theaters and all Budapest attractions are very easily
reached from the apartment and coming home late is never a problem ,
as the trams and buses run all night long.
Rates from 65 Euros per night depending on period, number
of people and length of stay. Exact quote on request.
