Classy Colonial w/125' Level Beachfront & Central Air in Owasco Lake

This finger lakes home has spectacular views of Owasco Lake from every
room!! Because the house is situated on a point,there are
breathtaking views of the north end, south end and east side of
the lake. One of the greatest aspects of this home is the level lake
frontage, which is
pretty hard to come by in the finger lakes area. There are no stairs
to worry about
to get to the water or the house, so bring the grandparents and the
kids! The spacious
deck on the house is literally two or three feet from the water's
edge and the 125' of beachfront gives you plenty of privacy. A lovely
enclosed porch runs
the whole length of the house. There is a nice grassy side yard for
games/play and a privacy fence
surrounds most of the lawn without blocking the view.

With approximately 2000 square feet, the house has a very comfortable
feel to it. The large living room which also runs the length of the
house
on the lake side has beautiful hardwood floors and a stone fireplace.
French doors with sidelights open onto the porch. There is a formal
dining room that seats 10 but there is also a dining table in the
porch, along with a wicker seating area. The entire house is filled
with
classy antiques, beautiful quilts and linens, and is very tastefully
decorated.

There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms with tubs/showers and can
sleep 10 people. The large bedroom has a queen bed, two others each
have a double bed,
and another large bedroom has two twin beds. Two "roll-away" beds(twin
sized) can fit in
any of the bedrooms. All of the bedrooms have berber carpet.

The fully stocked kitchen is large (approximately 20'x14'), has a
ceramic tile
floor, new countertops, and plenty of counter space and cupboards.
There is a
dishwasher and a range that has two ovens! (not that you really want
to cook on vacation!) There is also a microwave, toaster, and
coffeemaker. The house is on public water and sewer, has cable TV and
a DVD player, and wireless
internet access is available beginning in summer 2009. There is a
first floor laundry and linens
are provided, but are not your responsibility to wash for the next
tenants. Our wonderful cleaning
lady will take care of all the laundry upon your departure.

Central air is key for sleeping on those sultry summer nights. During
the day you can feel good
about taking a dip in the lake with its crystal clear waters and very
little weeds. Our beach area
is perfect for swimming! The water is about 3 feet deep at near the
end of the 50'dock and just
gradually gets deeper further out. Feel free to use the rowboat on
site, and if you have a boat, you
can tie up to the dock or place it on our mooring in deeper water.
The large deck has comfortable
seating with a table and some lounge furniture along with a gas grill,
oh and don't forget there are
fabulous views!!

The closest cities are Auburn and Skaneateles(where the Clinton's
sometimes
vacation). Syracuse is about 25 miles and Ithaca is approximately 35
miles. There are scenic state parks and natural wonders scattered
throughout the region. Wine tours, golfing, and hiking near many of
the nearby waterfalls are all very popular activities. Visit the new
Bass Pro Shops that are in Auburn (a few miles away). Fishing on
Owasco Lake is excellent!
They have been stocking walleye fingerlings for around ten years now
and they have really
taken off. There are easily some good 8 pounders out there.
Northern pike, perch(and other panfish), trout, and
bass are all very abundant.
