Go to sleep to the soothing sounds of the surf and wake up to see the sunrise from the wall of windows in this ocean front condo...  This studio condo has a living area with a sectional sofa and coffee table facing the kitchen unit, TV (very good selection of cable channels), and bookcase wall unit. The kitchen unit includes a refrigerator, sink, microwave, and a stove top (no oven).  The sectional opens into a queen bed, and there is a very comfortable double "murphy" bed that folds out from the wall. The murphy bed is great because it easily folds up in seconds and is out of the way during the daytime. There is a sunroom/dining room with a wall of windows and a spectacular view of the ocean and beach. This area has a long built-in window seat/bench with an attached cushion, that is off to the side.  It is like a small twin bed for a a small person or a child. Together with the sleep sofa, murphy bed, and bench the unit can accommodate a family of  5.

The condo is located ocean front, and you will have stunning views 
from the windows of your condo. There is a beautiful pool in the middle of the complex that is very private, with ample chairs available. There is also a deck, barbecue grill, hot tub, outdoor shower, and bathroom located by the pool. Bath towels and beach chairs are available FOR FREE! There is a fairly extensive video libray at the front desk and rental is FREE!  FREE parking space included with rental.

Dewey Beach is decidedly a destination for those who love
the atmosphere of the beach, love seafood and bayfront bars, but
don't want all the commercialism of boardwalks and high-rise
condos.  Dewey Beach is only a few blocks wide and one mile long. Everything you want is within walking distance, so park your car for the week and start to have fun. There is a very lay-back atmosphere and  it is a vacation place where you can truly relax.

Just north of Dewey Beach is Rehoboth Beach which has a small boardwalk, rides for the kids, shops, and restaurants galore.  There is a "Jolly Trolley" that runs between Dewey Beach and Rehoboth Beach and for a small fare, it is a
great bargain and a good way to avoid driving and parking.

Dining

Coconuts Seafood House - Dagsworthy Street and the Bay.
There are plenty of windows and it is a great place to see the
sunset.

The Waterfront - McKinley Street & the Bay. There are several bars,
and a "beach," where there are palm trees and tables on sand overlooking the bay.

The Rusty Rudder - Dickenson Street & the Bay. The Rusty Rudder is
actually a complex. There is an outdoor deck that overlooks the bay
(just outside the Rusty Rudder Restaurant) with several bars. There
are tables set up on the deck with waitress service. The Rudder
serves up good sandwiches and appetizers on the deck. The Island
Boys have been playing every summer on the deck for years, from 4
till 8 p.m. nearly every day - they start Memorial Day Weekend and
go to at least Labor Day Weekend. They play reggae-style music, but
do a little of something for everyone. They are very adept at getting nearly everyone on their feet -- from children to senior citizens!  There is also a cavernous indoor bar at the Rudder for inclement weather.

Also at the complex is Crabber's Cove, a restaurant for serious seafood lovers, with no-nonsense plastic tables, kraft paper table covers, and buckets for
crab shells. It overlooks the bay. Outdoor tables are also
available.

The Lighthouse Bar rounds out the complex...basically a
large, square bar (with outside deck), no frills, that serves up
drinks, music, oysters and clams.

Starboard Restaurant & Bar - The Starboard really packs in crowds in the evenings for their live music.  A great place for breakfast...their egg creations are truly spectacular.

Grotto's Pizza - Read Steet
Grotto's has fabulous pizza and is the only place in Dewey Beach
to play remote NTN Trivia.

The Dewey Beach Club Restaurant and Bar
This is located down on the southern end of Dewey Beach, and is known for their ribs.

Nightlife

Live music and dancing are available at the Rusty Rudder, Starboard, and the famed Bottle & Cork (who claim they are the best little beach bar in the
east).
