Vacation Rental Description

If you have looked at this property before, look again.  We  
have reconfigured the bedrooms and are redecorating rooms this  
winter.  New pictures will be coming soon.  "Summerwood Cottage" is  
located on a quiet street just blocks from Lake Michigan's Oak  
Street Beach in South Haven.  This newer ranch style home with a  
walk-out basement has been recently redecorated.  Get the best of  
both worlds with a private, wooded backyard and be within walking  
distance to the beach! 
 
     This cozy and comfortable home boasts a convenient floor plan  
which can accomodate either individual families or multiple  
families.  With a total of 2100 square feet, the main floor includes  
the following:  eat-in kitchen, master bedroom (queen bed), master  
bathroom (shower), bedroom #2 (queen bed), bedroom #3 (two sets of  
bunkbeds), bathroom #2 (tub and shower), living room (tv and  
beautiful view of the wooded backyard), and deck overlooking  
backyard. 
 
     The lower level includes:  family room (fieldstone gas  
fireplace, tv, foosball table, queen size sleeper sofa and patio  
doors), bedroom #4 (full bed), bathroom #3 (shower), and laundry  
room (washer, dryer and sink).  The home also includes use of an  
attached two car garage. 
 
     Beautiful landscaping compliments the character of this home.   
In the backyard you can enjoy the trees and privacy.  The upper  
level includes an elevated deck with a grill while the lower level  
includes a patio.  Each is equipped with outdoor furniture.  The  
backyard even includes a large sandbox for the kids!

Vacation Rental Amenities

We offer all of the amenities of home.  The kitchen is fully  
equipped with all major appliances (stove, refrigerator, microwave,  
dishwasher) as well as small appliances (coffee maker, blender,  
toaster).  It is also stocked with dishes, silverware, cookware, and  
utensils.  Everything from paper products to dish soap is also  
included. 
 
     The bathrooms are stocked with towels as well as paper products  
and soap.  We do ask that you provide your own beach towels.  The  
bedrooms are comfortably furnished and include new linens, pillows,  
blankets, and comforters. 
 
     General amenities include:  air conditioning, cable tv, vcr/dvd  
players, local telephone service, board games, books to read,  
foosball table, gas fireplace, gas grill, washer and dryer, iron and  
ironing board, hair dryer, portable crib available upon request,  
stereo, and the kitchen sink. 
 
     We also offer special services to our guests which include  
grocery shopping.  Instead of packing the car with groceries or  
making your first stop in town the grocery store, we will fully  
stock the kitchen according to your personal menu plan.

Activities and Attractions

South Haven is a four season vacation destination with  
activities including agriculture (strawberry & blueberry picking,  
etc.), antiquing, art, auto racing, biking, boating & cruises,  
dining, festivals, fishing, go-carts, golf, hiking, museums, paint- 
ball, parks, wineries, and winter activities such as cross-country  
skiing, ice skating and snowmobiling.  We would be happy to forward  
brochures for activities of your preference. 
 
     South Haven is centrally located to many major cities which  
makes travelling easy.  It is 2 hours from Chicago, 3 hours from  
Detroit, 1 hour from South Bend, and 1 hour from Grand Rapids.

Vacation Rental Rates

Summerwood Cottage is available during the summer season (June  
14, 2007 through August 30, 2008) for a rate of $1850 per week.   
Off season rates are nightly with a two night minimum or weekly.  We  
require a 50% deposit within 10 days of reserving the cottage to  
hold the week.  The remaining 50% is due 60 days prior to the  
arrival date along with a security deposit in the amount of $250.   
The security deposit will be returned within 30 days of departure. 
 
     Should a cancellation be necessary, we charge a $50 flat fee.   
If the cottage can be re-booked for the week, all funds will be  
returned less the $50 cancellation fee.  If the cottage can not be  
re-booked, all funds paid will be forfeited less the security  
deposit. 
 
     For multiple week bookings in the same house, we offer the choice of a discount  
on the second week of $200 or full housekeeping services mid-stay. 
 
In season:     Check-In is Saturday after 3:00 p.m. EST. 
               Check-Out is Saturday prior to 10:00 a.m. EST.
