Vacation Rental Description

Horizon home is a rare find. From the moment you arrive your senses 
are overwhelmed by the natural beauty all around you. This retreat 
is situated on a 40 foot cliff overlooking Lake Superior.  It is 
close enough to Lutsen Ski Resort to enjoy all the amenities while 
still being away from the crowds for some quiet time.  

The exterior walls are 65% windows with views of the lake and woods. 
A 10 by 15 foot skylight washes the main room with light. The total 
effect is that you are inside but also feel at one with the 
outdoors.
 
In the grandroom is a full kitchen, two dining areas, a gas 
fireplace, a piano and a wonderful couch under the skylight. The 
windows, with a 180 degree view of the water, are framed with window 
seating under which are many books and some great games.

The bedrooms, which are separated by the grandroom, have queen beds 
and private full bathrooms. The master bedroom has a TV with 
DirectTV and the master bath has a steam shower plus an oversized 
whirlpool tub overlooking the lake.

Vacation Rental Amenities

The living room and 2nd bedroom share a gas Fireplace.
There is a phone for local calls only, a TV, a DVD player, and a 
CD/tape Stereo.
The full Kitchen includes Microwave, Dishwasher, Refrigerator, Ice 
Maker, Toaster, Coffee Maker, Coffee Bean Grinder, Cooking utensils 
and a hot pot.
Linens & towels, alarm clocks, hair dryer, toilet paper, basic soaps 
and a gas BBQ grill are provided. 

Activities and Attractions

On Lake Superior... Hiking, Biking, Fishing, Kyaking and Hunting.

Lutsen ski hill with downhill and snowboard skiing is 2 miles away.  
Also close by is the 18 hole golf course, miniature golf, paintball, 
tramway rides and an alpine slide. Cross country skiing can take you 
from the ski hill right to the cabin.  Dog sledding, snow shoeing 
and horseback riding are also available. 

Superior hiking trail is on the other side of Highway 61. A 
peregrine falcon nesting place is near and Temperance River is close 
by. 

Grand Marais is 18 miles further down the highway where a number of 
artists spend creative hours. The gunflint trail starts in Grand 
Marais and the boundary water canoe trips in the area are 
legendary.  Grand Marais boasts wonderful restaurants, Live Theater, 
museums, sailing and unique shopping.

Within a 20 minute drive is the hospital, pharmacy, banks, ATM's, 
churches, an art gallery and spa/massage.

Winter Special!!  Rent 3 nights & get the 4th weekday night Free.  This offer for January, Feburary and March 
(Holidays excluded).

Midweek (M-Th) rate per night - $220.00
Weekend (F, S&S) rate per night - $260.00
Holiday rate (3 night minimum) - $299.00
Weekly rate - $1500.00
Weekly rate that includes a holiday - $1650.00
