Great house for large group

Casa Blanca's location couldn't be more perfect. Within walking distance from the beach or a quick drive to amusement parks. The house was very cozy yet very roomy. We had thirteen people and we were able to be spread out all over the house, it was awesome. We didn't run into any issues. We utilized the outdoor patio area most of the nights we were there. We met the owners who were extremely friendly. The breeze coming in through the windows cooled off the house perfectly. There are plenty of towels in the house. You have to go through the master bedroom to get to the third bedroom which was probably the hottest room in the house but there is an air-conditioner in there to help with that. My family was already planning the next trip back to this house while we were still on this trip, they loved it so much. :) We even had a few visitors during the week and it was nice that we had four parking spaces so our visitors had a place to park right in front of the house. We will definitely be back to the Casa Blanca house.

We rented Casa Blanca for the week to celebrate our daughter's graduation at CSULB. It was perfect for our need. It has a washer/dryer, cozy kitchen, but enough room for cooking, 3 tables for eating, it's close to the beach & 2nd street. The beds were very comfortable. To access the 3rd room, you need to go through the master bedroom, but it was not an issue for our family. The owners are very accomodating. Plenty of towels, and plenty of space in the living room. A nice BBQ for barbequing, and a patio area, plus 4 parking spaces.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car

very tired vacation rental

the rental has a good location-- but that's where the good stops-- the furnishings in this rental are very well worn and dated-- this rental is equipped with lots of beds--bunkbeds--
the unit is not a true 3 bedroom as the only access to what is considered the third bedroom is only through the master bedroom--do not rent if you are couples and would like some privacy while you sleep-- the carpets are dirty and there was a strong odor upon entering the front door-- Landlord actually hosed down all outdoor patio space within hours of arrival making it impossible to sit and enjoy the beach view- don't understand that move. Over all this place is great if you are having a frat party weekend or a John Boy weekend. Owner states that he makes all aware of bedroom situation but
it is not mentioned in any ads only customer reviews.

Recommended for: families with young children

Owners response: There is an old saying that 'No Good Deed Goes Unpunished'
!. We reduced the number of minimum nights from 3 to 2.
2. We Discounted the Rental Rate and allowed an early check in time. 3. Cut deposit in half.
3. This guests attempted to cancel 1 week prior to arrival...even VRBO requires 2 week notice for 'Special Offers'.
4. I received a call from 1 of the ladies wanting for me to explain 'the need to go thru the Master bedroom to the 3rd Bedroom?'
It seems that 'Sour Grapes' had already set in even prior to arrival
The furnishings are RETRO, not old, to go with the 30's construction.
(Even the ad states that we owned an antiques store and decorated according for comfort with many said antiques)
I explain in detail the need to 'Go Thru the Master Bedroom to the 3rd Bedroom' to EVERY prospective Guest I speak to along with the 'No Elevator' and explain in detail the Bunk Bed setup. (These Bunk Beds are the new 'Full Sized Queens/Singles' as advertised and have 12" mattress and will accommodate 2/1 normal sized adults comfortably.
Prior to our Guests reserving their dates...all of this is explained in detail as we don't want anyone being surprised.
Also like to point out that this guest not only looked at our pictures but also the Video Tour and was completely aware and accepting of the Bunk Beds and fact of the 3rd Bedroom off of the Master.
Seem like this Guest failed to explain to the others these facts resulting in the attempted cancellation and 'Sour Grapes'.
Oh Well!
