Vacation Rental Description
Flamingo Flats is fun and comfortable with 3 bedrooms (king, queen
and two twins) and 3 full baths. Located on a semi-private circle
of 61 cottages called Crystal Shores in the Crystal Beach area.
Flamingo Flats is a half block (265 steps to beach boardwalk) to the
beautiful beach on the Gulf of Mexico which was recently picked as
the #1 Beach in America by USA Today readers and selected for the
8th year in a row as the Best Beach in the South and Top Family
Destination by Southern Living Readers. Diversions Travel rates our
beach "the best in the world." The new Destin Commons
shopping and entertainment complex, Mid-Bay Bridge and Highway 98
are a mile to the North.
We usually spend February - April at Flamingo Flats and rent it out
the rest of the year.
JoJo Smoak is our neighbor and rental agent. She has the rental
calendar and owns and manages several other rental properties in the
neighborhood.
Vacation Rental Amenities
All bedrooms have cable TV and open onto wraparound porches on
both levels. There is a laundry room, fully equiped kitchen and
twice weekly garbage service. As our guest, you will enjoy the
nearby Crystal Shores homeowner’s association pool.
FYI, we have several friends in the area who also rent cottages. If
you travel with other families and want be in the same
neighborhood we can refer you to our friends.
Activities and Attractions
The Destin-Sandestin area boasts of 10 golf courses, world class
fishing in the Gulf and backwaters, the Silver Sands Outlet Mall
(largest in the U.S.) and a number of water activities, amusement
parks and your choice of casual to elegant restaurants. Twenty
restaurants are Excellent
fresh seafood is available all year. Santa Rosa Beach, Seaside and
Watercolor developments are 25 minutes away.
Destin offers something for everyone!
Note that Ft Walton Beach (VPO) is the closest airport, but
Pensacola (PEN) and Panama City can also be used to travel by air to
Destin.

Spring March 04 - May 26 Daily $250 Weekly $1,400
Summer May 27 - August 05 Daily $325 Weekly $1,950
Fall/Winter August 6 - March 3 Daily $180 Weekly $1,000
rentals of less than a week will be charged an additional $100
cleaning fee
Florida's bed tax is an additional 10%
