vacation rental description
We HaVe ThE BeSt PRIceS!! ...And we are filling up fast! Hurry and get your summer vacations requests in! Check out our calendar and grab your week while there's still time.
This four-season house/camp, in the Appalachian mountains of Maine, is situated on pristine, three-mile long, mile-wide, quiet, and well-stalked Lake Hebron, just 15 miles south of Moosehead Lake, on a full private acre++ of pines, birches, maples and grassy land. The Appalachian Trail passes right past our front door, and we are conveniently just close enough to the tiny village center. A tank of gas from Boston, and about a four-hour picturesque, interesting drive northbound, and you're there, where much of the traffic, noise, and everyday stress will be left behind with every mile.

house rental amenities
Bedrooms - Two bedrooms have queen beds; one bedroom has two twin beds. All mattresses have either memory foam toppers, or Temperpedic mattresses. The bedrooms have dressers, nightstands hooks or closets and places to store your things. All the bedrooms have satellite - FLAT Screen TV's, with VCR's and DVD players. For visiting friends, or extra folks we provide a double futon, a double pull-out couch, and even some cots. For baby, don't bother bringing the pack n play, we have one, almost new! It is big, with a bassinet/changing station attachment. (Just bring the sheets, and set it up). We even have a spare mattress that fits inside for napping or overnite!
We remodeled the kitchen and bath! You will get to enjoy the black slate countertops for which Monson is famous, and many new appliances, including a dishwasher, a big help when you have a family reunion or a larger group. Our kitchen has all the expected utensils and dishes, under-counter lighting, overhead fans, and three great picture windows for a full view of the lake.
The bathroom includes a 48" granite vanity, great lighting, a quiet fan, and new washer/dryer. Spacious and warm!
Family Room - Has a another comfy couch, lounge chairs, a double futon, and additional seating. Because of the renovation, the door closes for complete privacy for anyone sleeping in there. It will feel like a master-suite! Like all the bedrooms, the FR has a big satellite Flatscreen TV and a VCR & DVD, and stereo for all to enjoy.
In a nutshell, we have supplied:
- New High Efficiency Washer and dryer
- Dishwasher
- Wireless Internet Access
- Nation-wide free calling telephone service
- Satellite/Direct Flat Screen TV's
- VCR - videos/DVD's
- DVD players
- Stereo, tapes & CDs
- Iron & Ironing Board

A sheltered "smoking area" with big beautiful windows/screens and seating. We also have lots of reading material, puzzles and board games for those 'stay in the house' days, or hang out on the wrap around porch.
From May to October, you may also choose to rent the full size two-bedroom apartment (over the garage, attached to the house by a ramp). Both rooms have queen-size beds, dressers, mirrors, hooks/armoire, etc. Also a fully equipped and fully functioning galley-type kitchen, a flat screen TV, a full-size bath, seasonal air-conditioning, and overhead fans in every room! It's very private, cozy, and comfortable; every bit as good as the house. Rent both the house and the apartment together so your folks or friends with baby can have a little quiet refuge to themselves!

vacation rental rates
Peak Month Rates: $995.00 per week, Saturday to Saturday. (Memorial Day Weekend in May, thru November 30th).
Apartment is $695.00 per week, (sleeps 4), and will not be rented to other parties while you are renting - unless of course you want to rent it for your own families or friends.
Saturdays in the calendar that are unmarked usually mean arrivals and departures, so do not be deterred by the lack of color! There is no other way in the calendar to reflect this. The blank Saturdays almost always mean one party is leaving in the morning, (then our cleaners come in to clean) then, another arrival in the afternoon, usually after 3:00 p.m.
$225.00 per day between any available Saturday to Saturday period.
$895.00 per week (house) off season rate. $195.00 per day off-season.
Weekend rates - please inquire. Occasionally we have breaks in between vacationers and we'll rent the weekend out, or extend your long vacation.
We LOWERED the Dog Fee to only $50.00! Your dogs have been great! (sorry, we can not accommodate cats.)
Linens fee: It all depends on size of the party. If you bring your own linens, towels, etc., there is no fee to discuss.
The pics are all taken by me, (Roberta) on our property. I try to change them seasonally.
