Color, Sunshine, Villa in heart of El Centro+ great cook in San Miguel de Allende

"Paradise in Mexico" says our daughter. Our home, located in el
centro 3 1/2 blocks from the main cathedral and jardin is a joyous
home filled with color, light, a roof terrace, a garden with an always
full lime tree, and our wonderful cook Juana Chavez who helps light
up our home. We purchased this home 22 years ago when it was rented
to a family holding it together with poles at the corners of each room
and with a giant pig and piglets in one of the rooms. When we came
back to close on the house, all the ceilings were on the floor. My
husband, an architect, who had built school in Colombia in the Peace
Corps, was undaunted and a year later we were in with family and
friends and a bathtub built while we stood there looking on, Christmas
morning. Juana Chavez joined us as our cook the following year,
bringing wonderful Mexican comidas to our table. We have many
retuning guests, some for 15 years. For me this house is my center.
I open the door each time I enter and am thrilled, pleasured and at
peace.

TV. DVD player, radio and CD player washer and dryer, cook, chaises
for sunbathing. no microwave. wonderful cook and gardener.

Swimming at various hotsprings located 15minutes outside town by taxi,
golf, tennis, shopping for folk art and general shopping, wonderful
restaurants nearby, bicycle tours, horsebackriding tours, language
schools, art schools, many services listed in the weekly English
language paper the "Attencion"
