Shimmering Shores - Steps to Beach! Great for Families! in Keuka Lake

Shimmering Shores is our summer home which we make available to you for your unforgettable summer vacation.  The cottage is situated at the water's edge on 120' of choice, level lakefront.  The gradually deepening water and protected area between two docks provide safe swimming for all ages.

This home features an open and spacious vaulted living area.  The two-story glass front provides a panoramic view of the lake.  Two bedrooms and full bath downstairs and a bedroom and adjoining full bath upstairs make this a great set-up for families of two to six.

A large deck with views of the shimmering water and the distant state park is also the place where meals become memorable occasions.  Enhancing your dining experiences will be glimpses of kingfishers, herons, ducks, mergansers, loons and other waterside birds.  Eagles have been recently sited on Keuka Lake.  

Spend the most relaxing day of your life floating on a water chair or sunning on the dock.  Other activities our guests love include reading or napping in a lounge chair under the willow tree, diving from the raft, snorkeling, and, of course, skiing and tubing.

Fishing is excellent here and many fish have been caught off the docks.  One of the lake's most notable fishing spots is just beyond our raft.  Grilled fish for dinner, anyone?

Use our canoe to explore the nearby inlet where wildlife abound.  A marina is within a mile for easy boat rentals and your boat can be tied up at our dock.

The two-acre lot affords privacy and on-site parking.  When you're exhausted from water activities you can try a game of croquet, horseshoes, billiards, or table tennis or shoot some baskets in the regulation height basketball hoop on grass.  All this is yours for the taking.

End a perfect day seated around the campfire making smores.  Rejoice at the unexpected sight of a full moon rising over the bluff and gaze at the starry, night sky.  Savor the realization that you have experienced one of the best days of your life.

Our exceptional location affords endless daytime activites:  enjoy wine-tastings at the renowned Dr. Konstantin Frank's or any of the nearby seven wineries.  Many of New York's most award-winning wineries are on Keuka Lake.  Take in some wine-tastings and learn to be a connoisseur.

Keuka Lake's best restaurants are on the west side, the most notable being Esperanza Mansion with its glorious lake views.  A pick-your-own blueberry farm is closeby.  Enjoy hiking along the Outlet Trail or the Finger Lakes Trail.  Two alpaca farms are a short drive.

A drive to picturesque Hammondsport takes you on the one of the most scenic drives in America according to British Airways travel magazine.  Or drive through the surrounding countryside for a look at Mennonite farm country.

The Corning Glass Museum and the Strong Museum are about an hour's drive.  A unique shopping experience is offered at The Windmill.  Garrett Chapel with its beautiful stone work and stained glass windows is another must-see.  Golf courses are also nearby. 

Simply stated, this is the choicest site on the choicest lake in the Finger Lakes.  Come enjoy shimmering waters, beautiful sunrises, and starry nights.  Restore your soul.  We do everything possible to make your vacation exceed your expectations.

This paradise is located one mile south of Branchport in the heart of
Keuka Lake wine country on Route 54A. Restaurants, wineries and
antique shops are nearby and the villages of Penn Yan and
Hammondsport are short drives. A grocery store is conveniently
located in Branchport.

Activities:  Fishing, swimming, snorkeling, canoeing, sun-bathing, relaxing in water chair, horse-shoes, billiards, ping pong, croquet, campfire, stargazing.

Attractions:  Close to eight wineries and four excellent restaurants.  Hiking on Outlet Trail or Finger Lakes Trail.  Visit two alpaca farms.  Pick your own blueberry farm nearby.  Shopping at The Windmill.  Museums:  Corning Glass Museum, and Strong Museum are an hour's drive.  Penn Yan Golf Course.  Garrett Memorial Chapel.
