Vacation Rental Description

Bear Lake is a crystal clear mountain lake that straddles the 
Utah/Idaho border and is often referred to as the Caribbean of the 
Rocky Mountains. 

The area is about two and a half hours north of Salt Lake City Utah 
and about 4 hours south of Yellowstone National Park. Bear Lake and 
the surrounding mountains provide endless opportunity for year round 
fun. 

Water sports, lake and stream fishing, uncrowded golf courses and 
miles of back country hiking and ATV trails provide great summer 
fun. The back country also provides excellent trophy big game 
hunting amid some of the Rocky Mountain West’s most spectacular fall 
color. 

Winter brings an abundance of dry powder snow for all kinds of 
skiing, snowboarding and snowmobiling. You get all this and more at 
Charlie's Place.
 

Vacation Rental Amenities

This gorgeous log structure is amazing, inside and out. Great lake 
and mountain views with a trail access just a few hundred yards 
away. This cabin sleeps 16 comfortably. The fully equipped kitchen 
flows into the dining and living areas, all of which have a great 
view out the beautiful glass front wall over looking Bear Lake.

There are 6 bedrooms and 3 1/2 baths. The bedrooms are all 
tastefully decorated continuing the rustic log theme with beautiful 
locally made furniture. The mattresses, like all the furniture, are 
new and very comfortable. There are three queens, two sets of bunks 
and two kings. Both King bedrooms have private baths. 

The loft level master suite is truly just that. There is a small 
fresh air walk-out to a balcony with a wonderful mountain and sunset 
view. A sitting area with TV and desk make the room 
as much a retreat as a suite. The bathroom has a huge corner tub for 
soaking and separate shower.
Big screen TV, pool, air hockey, foosball and ping-pong!

Activities and Attractions

Summer: Boating, fishing and jet skiing (rentals are close by) Back 
country activities include ATV, bike and hiking trails. Bird 
watching at the world class Bear Lake Bird Refuge. Fall brings Rocky 
Mountain big game hunting in both Utah and Idaho.
Winter: Downhill skiing is 20 minutes away and back country skiing 
and snowmobiling is within a couple hundred yards.
