Homosassa Wildlife Park is one of the top rehab for the manatee and a "must see"! It's only about 15 minutes away. Spend the afternoon at the zoo and research center. An excellent value at $8.95/person.
Tube float the spring fed clear water Rainbow River for
$8.00, including shuttle to the park.
Take a manatee snorkeling trip for as little as $35.00 in Crystal River or Homasassa.
Many Orlando area amusement parks and attractions are close enough to make a day visit.
Weeki Wachee, the original home of the mermaids, is located about 30 miles south of the island.
