vacation rental description

This environmentally friendly mansion is almost fully sustainable by utilizing the whole house. Such as a HUGE wood fire place and green environmental heating system. The mansion is settled  nicley in Irons Michigan. Irons is a small town located just
north of Baldwin and west of Ludington around 15 minutes.
This huge 10,688 sq ft mansion is loads of fun year round for the
whole family. With a massive size indoor pool, sauna, hot tub and
full bar with billiards room it's hard not to have a good time
regardless of the weather. The mansion is set back in the woods
around 250 yards off the road. This offers privacy to the max with
no neighbors and just the deer around.
The massive bedrooms have a unique rounded design and are connected
to large bathrooms.
The house was built 6 years ago by a German engineer who did not
lack one detail in this amazing home.
The Mansion is located on 60 acres of wooded land with a cleared
two track going around the border of the property. The Irons trail
systems start just down the road from the driveway and offer amazing snowmobiling, hiking, dirt biking, etc.
This is a GREAT northern vacation mansion with an outdoor feeling to
it.
Towels, tiolet paper, paper towel, and hand towels are included.

Amazing place

Review submitted: December 10, 2012   Date of arrival: December 6, 2012

I was a bit skeptical as I saw some reviews less than great, but they assured me they had new management and Dina really did make sure we had a great time and the place was awesome, clean and perfect for our large group.

Great Family Vacation Spot

Review submitted: August 2, 2012   Date of arrival: July 8, 2012

We were lucky enough to be able to rent this beautiful home for a week last month. There are only 5 of us in our family, my husband and I and our 3 kids. My kids loved it! They loved being able to swim all day long, in and out of the hot tub and pool. It was a very relaxing week. Also, not far from Sleeping Bear Dunes or Traverse City, both places we did day trips to. The pool was warm and the hot tub nice and hot. The local store was only 10 minutes down the road and had everything we needed. There was plenty of room to spread out and the kids had fun playing hide and seek :) We had a great week and would do it again in a heartbeat.

Ladies Weekend

Review submitted: November 14, 2011   Date of arrival: November 11, 2011

A group of 12 women rented the mansion for a weekend. We had a great time. This house is so impressive when you arrive. We were so excited to get the chance to stay here. The animals throughout the house are so cool and we gave them all names even. The bar/game room is super cool, although be warned if you want to play pool, there are a few balls missing and most of the sticks are broken. We did just shoot some balls around for fun, and managed just fine.

The kitchen was awesome and plenty big enough for all of us. The wall stoves work fine, but the digital display doesn't work so took a few mintues to figure it out, but they did heat up and cook just fine, you just can't read the display. The kitchen really only has like 3 very small pans, but we weren't planning to cook, so this wasn't an issue, but good to know if you plan too.

We loved the dining room! so pretty and great to all be able to sit together for meals. We did bring a bunch of movies up and it was a disappointment that the main living room tv does not turn on. We were upset by that, and the manager called us back the next day and said she was aware and it would be fixed soon, so that may be okay if you go later. We did get to watch them upstairs in the master bedroom and that was okay, as it was more comfortable up there anyhow and plenty large enough.

The bedrooms were awesome. The beds were clean and comfortable. THe rooms were so cool with all the windows. the bathrooms were large and clean. Bring toliet paper and hand and bath towels and hand soap with you. The dryer didn't work in the laundry room but not a huge issue.

The pool area was so impressive. The hot tub was nice, but the pool was really cold. A few of us used it anyhow, but most of the ladies wouldn't even try it out. It really did take your breath away to get in. I am not sure it was the 72 degrees or whatever it was supposed to be, but it was VERY cold....I own a pool at home and I can swim in pretty cool water and be happy and i thought it was cold. But, I did get in, as did a few others and it was very clean and pretty. I just wish it was warmer.

Overall, it was a great time and a wonderful weekend. We loved the house, and the few small issues were not nearly enough to dampen my experience. I would return in a heartbeat, and we are already talking about a couples weekend in the spring.
