 Located in the gated Copperleaf community in the Brooks
development this spacious private villa is on a premium southern
facing lakefront lot.
This home offers an open floor plan with approx 2100 SF of luxury
living along with a private screened lanai which includes a heated
pool and outdoor kitchen with a built-in grill.
Each of the 3 bedrooms has its own full bath. Queen in master,
Queen sleeper in 2nd/den, 2 twins in upstairs guest. Also a daybed
with pop-up trundle in loft can be used as queen or two twins. All
linens and towels are provided. Also includes a large great room
with
cathedral ceiling, breakfast nook, formal dining room.
Kitchen is fully equipped, refrigerator, microwave, stove,
dishwasher, and all cooking and eating utensils.
Central air, first floor laundry with washer & dryer, attached 2
car
garage. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms and great room.
The Brooks offers an 18 hole championship course, putting and
chipping area as well as a driving range. with the $500.00 golf
transfer fee you get discounted greens fees.
There are three lighted tennis courts and large community pool
within walking distance from home.
The community is 12 miles from Southwest Regional Airport. And is
minutes to shopping, beaches, dining and entertainment.

Not worth the money

The decription was almost accurate. The den on the first floor had a hide a bed with a very poor matress, no TV and the ceiling fan was broken. The entire home was filthy. We had to hire a service to come in and clean. The fridge was full of slime, pots and pans were put away dirty, as were dishes and silverware. The comforter in the master bedroom had spots of body fluid on it. The bedisde lamp was broken and the lamp shade was burned. Upon arrival there was a very strong odor of cat urine in the master closet. The smell was so bad you could not use the master bedroom or bath until the smell was eleminated. Upon contacting the owner, a carpet cleaner was sent in to clean the carpeting in the master closet. The smell remained so the owner agreed to have the carpet taken out, put bleach on the cement, apply kill to get rid of the smell and then replace the carpet. This took a week out of the first month. Meaning you had to be there to accomodate the workmen. We finally unpacked our suitcase after 8 days. The DVD player in the master bedroom was not connected. (It was on the shelf in the closet) The chaise lounge chairs were three way plastic, rusted beach chairs. The screened lani around the pool had hole in the screen, therefore you would find tiny frogs in the pool and in the house. The location was excellent and ther were many fine resaurants in the area. Fine golf course but not worth the membership price. The system used to book tee time is such that you could call in for a 10 am time and end up with a 4 pm. Great shopping area. Over all I would not recomment the property to anyone and I don't think we were fairly compensated for all the trouble we had.

Recommended for: families with young children

Owners response: In response to above review; we take pride in the condition of our property. Because we do not live in town we use a local agent so that we can be assured that the house is clean between tenants and that the furniture and linens are kept up. We have owned the house for seven years and have rented it for six. Since we had not had previous problems we were very concerned when we heard the tenant's complaints. My husband offered to fly down and take care of the cleaning and carpet issue. The tenant's declined this offer stating that they had someone that they preferred to use for the carpet replacement. They refused a second cleaning of the house opting instead to have it done themselves. (They were reimbursed) We were told that they would forward pictures of the house condition but these were never received.

This review was our first notification of their other complaints.
The den TV was moved upstairs by the previous tenants. There are 3 TVs in the house. I am not aware of a broken ceiling fan but will look into it immediately.The sofa bed has been moved and there is now a regular bed in the den

The lani screen was inspected in June 2010 and no holes were found.

Our pool chaises are woven with aluminum frame. We did not supply 3 way folding plastic chairs. There is some beach equipment in the garage but this is not our pool furniture.

We took the tenant's complaints very seriously and because the house was not properly inspected, maintained and cleaned between tenants we have replaced our local agent and our cleaning service. We will also be down personally at the beginning of each season to inspect the house ourselves.

I would encourage anyone interested in renting to make an appointment to see the home themselves.
