California modernism. This 1947 modernist landmark designed by
architects A. Quincy Jones and Whitney R. Smith was extensively
documented by renowned photographer Julius Schulman and published in
books and journals.
The 1800 square foot house and 1400 square foot guesthouse are
available for short-term rentals. Both structures are
fully furnished with period furniture. The main house includes two
bedrooms, one with a king size bed and another with a queen size bed,
two baths (one with a custom-built large soaking tub),and a gourmet
kitchen.
The knotty pine, post and beam style guesthouse features a
bar/kitchen area, full bath, sunroom that can act as a separate
bedroom with a futon. The large upper floor has the living room and
an area with a full size bed. The lower floor has a room with two
twin beds.

The surrounding area is residential with a park, hiking and mountain
bike trails minutes away. Local shopping in Brentwood Village is ten
minutes away on fashionable San Vicente Boulevard, where there are,
clothing, book, and grocery stores and mid to high-end restaurants.
House and Guesthouse: from $500/night...$3500/week.
House separately: from $2800/week
50% Deposit at time of reservation, balance due 2 weeks prior to
arrival. $150 non-refundable cleaning fee for both houses and
security deposit of $1,000 also due two weeks prior to arrival.
4-nights minimum.
Renter pays utilities for monthly stays.
There is a surcharge for a heated pool in the winter ($150 -200-per
week, renter pays for gas used only).
