Vacation Rental Description

This A-frame chalet at an elevation of 3500 feet is easily 
accessible from the Maggie Valley Resort and Country Club, located 
in the heart of Maggie Valley.  With over 3000 square feet of living 
space on 3 levels, this 5 bedroom, 5 1/2 bath vacation rental is 
large enough to accommodate 5 couples or a large family.  The house 
is on 2 acres of woods, giving you total privacy.  

Vacation Rental Amenities

The berber carpeted living room area has a 20 foot high wood 
ceiling, an all glass front on the A-frame for a great view and a 
stone fireplace. A westerly exposure insures that there is sunlight 
in the living room every afternoon. Off of the living room through 
the sliding glass doors is a large front porch with lawn furniture.  
A circular wooden stairway in the living area is a unique feature 
leading to the upper bedrooms and sleeping loft.  The extra large 
gourmet kitchen has 2 ovens, stove, refrigerator, microwave, and all 
the kitchen utensils you will need. There is a large dining table 
that seats 8 people and off of the dining area is a sun porch with 
wicker furniture. 

Outside there are many levels of decking.  A catwalk connects the 
front porch with the enclosed sun porch.  The circular hot tub is on 
a large deck off of the sunroom.  Steps from the deck lead into the 
gazebo. This outdoor area has plenty of room for large parties and 
barbecues as well as just enjoying the mountian air in peace and 
serenity. 

There are 5 bedrooms; 3 with kingsize beds, 1 queensize, and 1 full 
bed.  All linens and towels are provided.  In one bedroom there 
is a jacuzzi tub in the bedroom. Each bedroom has DirecTV satellite 
reception and most have a VCR.  There is a 50" TV, a DVD player, 
and VCR in the living room. Keep in touch with our wireless HIGH 
SPEED DSL internet access. There is also a washer and dryer in the 
garage. In the spring and fall, the attic fan keeps cool air 
circulating. In the summer 3 central air conditioners keep you cool 
when the mountain air and the shade of the trees don't.

Activities and Attractions

Maggie Valley has great snow skiing at Cataloochee Resort and snow 
tubing in the winter (5 miles west from the house). The North 
Carolina Elk herd can be seen about 7 miles away.  In the summer, 
there is horseback riding, mountain biking, hiking, museums, a ghost 
town, a zoo, evening entertainment venues, many great restaurants, 
antique and gift shops featuring a local flavor. The Maggie Valley 
Resort golf course is just below the house and offers a challenging 
18 hole mountain course.  Another golf course at Lake Junaluska is 
about 5 miles east. There are festivals all year long featuring 
Western North Carolina themes. During fall foliage, the colors in 
the mountains are like heaven and the Blue Ridge Parkway with its 
many scenic overlooks is the best place to see all of the fall 
colors.  It is located within 15 minutes from Maggie Valley. It is a 
short car ride to white water rafting, kyaking, mountain biking, and 
unbelievable fly fishing in stocked streams for trout. Visit the 
newly re-introduced elk herd. Ghost Town has now re-opened. The 
Cherokee Indian Casino is 30 minutes away as is Asheville and the 
fabulous Biltmore Estate. Smoky Mountains National Park is about 40 
minutes away.

Vacation Rental Rates

3 Day Weekend - $915 per weekend (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday or 
Holiday weekend Saturday, Sunday, Monday) additional nights $300
  
5-7 days - $1500 (Christmas and New Years - 5 night minimum.  
Includes hot tub and cleaning fees.

$1200 per week during selected weeks in Jan, Feb, March,and April. 
Call for availability.
    
Rental fee includes everything you need except paper goods and 
food.   A refundable deposit is required and a lodging tax is 
applied to the rental.  We request that reservations be made at 
least 2 weeks prior to arrival date. Call Patty for availability and 
for answers to any questions. 

Monthly rental rate - 3 weekly rentals gets the 4th week free.
