Vacation Rental Description

Caribbean Sea Front with fantastic views and sunsets. Located 
directly on the beach with the beautiful Caribbean 30 feet from the 
property. This is a beautiful, quiet gated condo community. 
The condo has a gallery with 36 feet of screening that opens 
directly 
to the gorgeous, Caribbean Sea. There are all day views of ships and 
the sea and beautiful sunsets from the Gallery Room of the Condo. 
There may even be an opportunity to view the elusive "green flash" 
at the moment of sunset. The condo has a living room, large bathroom, 
large bedroom and laundry room and fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher,
garbage disposal microwave, toaster oven, etc.

There is also a laundry room with washer and dryer. 
Looking to the north of the Condominium you will see the cruise 
ships. Beyond that is Hamm's Bluff at the point of the island. The 
hill that rises above Hamm' Bluff is Mt. Washington. Looking east 
from the condos is a view of the Great Salt Pond which is home to 
many types of aquatic and avian wildlife. The Pond is a protected 
environmental sanctuary. On rare occasions, pink flamingos have 
visited the Great Salt Pond, although they are not native. To the 
South is Sandy Point which is primary nesting ground for Leatherback, 
Green, and Hawksbill turtles. The turtles lay eggs at various times 
of the year and the nests are protected by Park Rangers. Some of the 
turtles are on the enviornmental protection list and occasionally 
are known to grow to 600 pounds.
The condominiums have a swimming pool surrounded by swaying palm and 
coconut trees. Immediately in front of the condo is a beach where you 
can be on the sand or enter the water and enjoy snorkeling with a 
significant amount of colorful fish and other aquatic life. The water 
is "gin clear" or "vodka clear" for those of the Bloody Mary or 
Screwdriver persuasion. In any event it is great to be in water up 
to your shoulders and look down to see your toes on the sandy bottom.
St. Croix's west side, where the condo is located, has the best 
beaches on the island. There is no seaweed, no tide and the normal 
gentle lapping of small waves, (3-6 inches), against the beach. That 
is, unless an unusual storm passes by, which can turn the sea quite 
angry. The island has two 18 hole golf courses. (One is a Robert 
Trent Jones design). Sugar mills abound from the days of sugar cane 
harvest to make rum and other products. There is also a rum factory 
on the island. There is a rain forrest on the Northwest side of the 
island and a desert on the East end of the island about 20 miles 
away. The island has a casino and every day of the year the 
temperature is normally in the 80's, with lots of sunshine. 
St. Croix is a US possession and uses US funds. The primary language is 
English, although the native Cruzans speak with a lilting Danish 
accent when speaking English.

Vacation Rental Amenities

Fully equiped kitchen, bath towels, beach towels, bedsheets, etc. television, 
compact disk player, and ceiling fans. Condo unit has its own
washer and dryer. Queen size bed in bedroom. Sofa in livingroom converts
to queen size sleeper and Love Seat in living room converts into single
sleeper. Fantastic views all day long.  The unit has views on three sides
and is in a lovely gated community with a fulltime caretaker on the premises.

Activities and Attractions

Swimming pool, nearby restaurants, nearby golf, nearby tennis, 
snorkeling, nearby scuba diving, fishing, and a casino on the island. 
Many places to hike, take historical or nature tours, bicycle or walk.
