Affordable Lake Tahoe Chalet in Tahoma

Welcome to our cabin. Enjoy the beauty of Lake Tahoe's West Shore in our chalet style cabin.  It is 4 hours to San Francisco, and 2 hours to Sacramento. Our cabin is 2 blocks off Highway 89.

Our 1850 sq. ft. house sits on a half acre on a flat road. It has a guest house that is also available for rent (see ad 332392). There are open beam ceilings throughout the house. Last summer we put in a new kitchen and upgraded the bathrooms. The fully-equipped kitchen has a coffee maker, coffee grinder, Kitchen Aid mixer, blender, toaster, griddle, plus all other eating and cooking utensils. The living room has a couch and 3 recliners.  On the opposite wall of the fireplace is the entertainment center with DVR Cable, TV, DVD and VCR player, and a stereo.  The master bedroom is upstairs and shares a bathroom with the loft. The loft has its own TV where the kids can play games and entertain themselves. There are 4 TV's, 2 phones (landline) and WI-FI (bring your laptop).

The cabin sleeps 10.  All three of the bedrooms have queen beds, full dressers, and reading chairs. The loft has a daybed with a trundle and the living room has a sofa sleeper. 

Supplies
We supply trash bags, paper products, cleaning supplies, bed linens, bath towels, & washcloths. There are extra blankets in closets and extra bathroom supplies in a chiffarobe.  The kitchen has staples such as sugar, flour, spices, Cremora and oil.  There are VHS tapes, DVD's, and books in the entertainment center. We supply an ice chest, beach chairs, and beach towels for your convenience.  Please feel free to use the sleds during snow season.

Winter Activities
Our cabin is on a flat road for easy access when snowing.  We pay for a snow plow for the driveways and supply a shovel for sidewalks.  There's a hill next to our place that is good for sledding.  The cabin is only 2 miles from Homewood Ski Resort which has the most spectacular views of the lake of any ski resort in the Tahoe Basin.  Homewoood offers $12 skiing for kids under 13, kids under 4 are free and active military are free with a 50% discount for their families.  Sugar Pine Point is close by with cross-country skiing.  Squaw Valley & Alpine Meadows are minutes away. Room for 3 cars to park in the driveway.

Summer Activities
Our cabin is close to public beach access, two marinas,a general store, cafe and sports rental store.  Enjoy a bike ride on the nearby bike path that goes around Lake Tahoe.  Bike or drive to some of Tahoe's most beautiful beaches at Meek's Bay, Sugar Pine Point, Emerald Bay and Vikingsholm Castle.  Rent a paddleboat or kayak and spend the day on the lake.  For boaters, we own the lot next door and your boat can be parked on it during your visit.  We are also close to hundreds of miles of trails ranging from easy to strenuous.  We have a Hiking Guide book in our welcome folder that describes & maps the numerous hiking trails.  There is a deck in front of the sliding doors with a barbecue, table and chairs.
