amenities! Stained glass,ornate wood burning stove and volume ceilings with open loft areas are 
charming features of our home.Watch the ducks on their morning parade and listen to the bird song 
whilst having breakfast on the deck with its view of Lake Norman.
Feeling energetic? The no wake cove is perfect for swimming and the 3 man touring canoe 
provided,paddle round to Vinnies bar 10-15 minutes away and enjoy a drink overlooking the Lake Norman

"We absolutely loved your house!  It was in a perfect location, close to everything but still quiet 
and peaceful.  The dock is wonderful.  We rented a boat while we were down there and we got 
great use out of the dock to enjoy the lake.  Our littlest one is 21 months and when we first got 
there, he wouldn't get in the water by himself at all but by the second day he was jumping off the 
front of the boat and swimming around to the side and climbing up the ladder

In the cosy living room decorated in reds and greens, a wall of floor to ceiling windows with wooden 
blinds overlooking the garden offers a private place to relax after a day on the Lake.It has  access 
to the L shaped partially covered deck with a Lake view, great for enjoying breakfast or grilling in 
the evening.

For enjoying a meal together the dining room has an extendable dining table for 8. Ideal for 
celebrations or festive occasions. The coloured glass windows and door create a golden light 
in the morning.An ornate wood burning stove and ample log supply will keep you snug and warm in the 
Autumn months-although there is central heating as well- imagine spending your Thanksgiving or 
Christmas Holiday here. We do!

Fully equipped kitchen has maple cabinets with beautiful solid counter tops and a view of the garden 
down to the lake.

Situated at one end of the house the large Master Suite (with its own external access) has his and 
her pedestal sinks, large shower cubicle and a 2 person Scandinavian sauna. The color co-ordinated 
bedding and accesories make it an ideal retreat with a touch of luxury.

 The second bathroom has a legged Victorian bath with shower over.Bedroom 2 is cool and calming, 
with a volume ceiling and a quirky loft area- children love this feature! There is also a door into 
the garden.
Bedroom 3 has a contemporary feel with a tile floor and volume ceiling and views of the garden.

Outside, the beautiful garden provides both sunny and shaded areas with ample space for children to 
play energetically and safely whilst the adults chill on the deck with a view of the garden and 
Lake Norman. There is a Gas Grill and table and chairs and we've provided a cooler for ice cold 
refreshments and outdoor games to occupy younger guests!

Down at the Lakeside set amongst mature trees and lawn the patio area has a second table and chairs. 
There is plenty of room to play, or just sit quietly relaxing on the swing seat, listening to the 
birds and admiring the fabulous view of the lovely wide cove (a no wake zone) and main channel.Ideal 
for swimming or fishing!

minutes drive

Activities and Attractions

  Water based activities

At 34 miles long with 500 miles of shoreline Lake Norman is the largest lake in North Carolina. 
Activities available include boating, sailing, water skiing, swimming and fishing.
Boat rentals and public boat access ramps are available at several locations within 15 minutes 
drive. We can provide deatils for boat hire. Many will deliver or bring you own boat, launch it at 
Stutts Marina (5 minutes)and moor it at your dock at the house for your pleasure.
If you prefer a guided tour or fishing trip on Lake Norman then we can arrange for your very own 
Captain with 20 years experience to collect you at the dock.Fishing licenses can be purchased on-
line or from any Wal-Mart store (nearest 10 mins).Of course if you want you can use the canoe we 
have provided free of charge!

Lake Norman State Park (20 mins) has 150 feet of sandy beach with a roped off swimming area.  Row 
boats, paddle boats and canoe hire are available as well as picnic tables and grills.

Lowes YMCA (5 mins) is a newly built YMCA with indoor swimming and sport facilities

Rays Splash Planet in Charlotte (30 mins) is an indoor leisure pool 
with slides/chutes, etc

The US National Whitewater Centre  (35 mins). Just to the west of Charlotte on the Catawba river 
this fantastic brand new outdoor centre is the training facility for USA Canoe and Kayak and the US 
Olympic team. Featuring the worlds largest recirclating artificial  multi channel whitewater river 
which can be programmed to provide different levels of activity it also has biking, hiking and 
running trails and 2 climbing walls. Plenty of room to sit and spectate (has a restaurant 
overlooking the rapids) or take a guided tour of the rapids but be prepared to get wet!
 
 Especially for the kids

You can't keep Paramount Carowinds (35 mins) a secret from the kids for long in North Carolina! The 
105 acrea park has more than 50 world class rides, shows and attractions and also a water park.  
Ride the Borg if you dare!

The Lazy 5 ranch (20 mins) has 700 animals from all over the World.  Take the 3 and a half mile 
safari in your own car or on horse drawn carts.  Feed the animals as you go but be sure to watch out 
for the cow with the big horns (I'm sure he won't mind us saying that!) who greets you as you 
enter! Excellent fun.

Queens Landing (10 mins) has 2 mini golf courses and bumper boats plus Steam paddle boat dinner 
cruises on lake Norman .Also live open air music and dancing during the summer months

  Auto racing

Mooresville has the nick- name of Race City . Visit the Auto racing Hall of Fame (5 mins) and 
numerous racing shops including the famous Dale Earnheardt Inc.
Raceworld USA (15 minutes) race shop/theme park style facilityDriver/team display and a car showcase 
area. “A Revolutionary Stock Car Experience” has a walk through display includes an RV display 
that shows the living quarters of the drivers at the races, a hauler display, pit crew practice 
area, fabrication area, car assembly area, a number of specialty areas, a theatre, a retail store 
and even a restaurant.

Around 35 minutes away in Concord you'll find  Lowes Motor Speedway -a huge stadium which seats 
150,000 spectators for NASCAR racing events. Race weeks feature 3-4 times yearly or the Summer Shoot 
out Season on Weekday evenings during the summer is great value fun for all the family!
Also Concord Motorsport park with NASCAR racing every Saturday form March-1/4 mile and 1/2 mile track
Mooresville Dragway (15 minutes)
The Nascar Speedpark is a racing themed fun park in Concord Mills Shopping Mall (30 mins) with 8 Go 
Karting tracks, mini golf, bumper boats and Laser Tag. Let the girls shop while the boys bond!

  Golf 

Golfers will love the area. Mild winters mean that you can play during 10-11 months of the year!  
There are more than 40 golf courses within a 2 hour drive of Mooresville including Pinehurst 
National.
