Our Mariner's watch villa is located on Kiawah island's East Beach close to the Night Heron Park. The beach access/bike trail runs right by the end of the villa steps and within seconds (200yds) you are on Kiawah's most spectactular 10 miles of beach.
The Sanctuary Hotel is a short drive or bike ride away. It is also centrally located to all the golf courses.
The villa underwent a kitchen and bathroom renovation in 2008 and has beautiful beautiful marble tile, granite and travertine. The living room has a Sherill queen sleeper sofa, comfy armchair and cognac colored leather ottoman. The living room has a flat screen TV, DVD, and radio/cd player for your enjoyment.
The bedroom has a queen bed, fresh linens, comforter and blankets are supplied. The bathroom can be accessed from the bedroom or hall. The villa is painted in soothing celery green and warm sand in the bathroom. The screened porch just off the livingroom/dining area overlooks a freshwater lagoon and is equipped with 2 patio tables and chairs, a perfect setting to enjoy breakfast or lunch. You may even see Allie the alligator laying on the far bank across the lagoon or going for a swim.
The kitchen has a Bosch stove and dishwasher and the convection oven is large enough to cook a Thanksgiving turkey. There are enough place settings
for four and some extras if you have company. There is also a brand new washer dryer located on the screened porch. The villa and porch are non smoking. The Mariners watch complex does not permit grills due to wood construction.
Kiawah is a private gated community just 45 minutes from downtown
Charleston. Security passes are required to enter the island.
More than 200 species of birds, along with whitetail deer, fox, otter
and bobcats can be seen on the island. Be sure to check out the new
Atlantic room on the ocean course, relax on the huge wraparound porch and enjoy the panoramic Atlantic ocean views and ocean breeze. It is well worth the drive.
