Nestled in the eastern hills of St. Helena awaits a quiet restful
hideaway. Maison de Joie offers seclusion and privacy and yet is only
minutes away from quaint St. Helena and rustic Calistoga.
The Maison is bathed in sun during the day and the sunsets in the
evening are breath taking. Savor panoramic views while sipping a
glass of
Napa Valley wine or that first cup of coffee in the morning.
Step inside this French Country home with it’s over stuffed furniture
and oak antiques. Far from pretentious, yet elegant and inviting.
Cool off
in the small dipping pool (Swim n’ Spa) during the day and enjoy the
hot tub
at night or early in the morning. The pool area is fenced to address
safety
issues.
Maison de Joie was built in 1986 and is 4500 square feet in size. It
rests majestically on two and a half acres of land. On the top two
floors there
are 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are furnished with queen beds and the Master
suite has a California King bed with a retreat above the bedroom.
There are
two and a half bathrooms. Downstairs there are two bedrooms, both with
queen beds. There is a full bathroom downstairs. (The downstairs
area will
be locked off if you have not specifically requested to rent it). The
Maison is
two and a half stories and there are decks on each level to add to your
enjoyment of the views of the Napa Valley. There is central air
and heat. The formal living room has a gas fireplace. The family
room has a
TV/VCR/DVD with a satellite dish and is open to the kitchen and
dinette area. The Maison has a beautiful formal dining room. This
room and
the formal living room can be closed off for privacy with paneled
pocket doors.
There is a laundry room on the main floor. You will not need to bring
any
linens for the beds or towels for the bathrooms or the hot tub. The
kitchen is
fully supplied with all eating and cooking utensils. There is a charcoal
burning BBQ by the pool.
You will experience true “joie de vivre” and relaxation in this

If you smoke, please do not smoke inside and do not dispose over the
deck.
Air conditioner and/or heater controls are set to go on and off to
keep the house at a comfortable temperature.
