Activities and Attractions
La Jolla Shores is a premier vacation spot. La Jolla Shores Beach is known as a great walking or
running beach because it is so flat. There are wonderful tide pools at both the north and south end
of
the beach. The beach is also known for great swimming and surfing year round. The north end of the
beach is anchored by the world famous Scripps Institution of Oceanography and Birch Aquarium. The
south end of the beach is anchored by the La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club and La Jolla Cove. La Jolla
Cove
is a favorite diving and kayaking spot. There are great restaurants within walking distance.
