Vacation Rental Description

This is a single family cabin approx.1100 sq.ft. and 2000 feet above sea level in the  
Cherokee/Nantahala Mountain range of Eastern Tennessee, approx. 30 miles to Robbinsville, NC., and  
12 miles to Tellico Plains, TN in the Rafter Community.  We are located 4 miles from the Cherohala  
Skyway and Lake Indian Boundary.  The cabin has two bedrooms, one with two single beds, and the  
other with a queen size bed.  The house has two bathrooms, a laundry room/with washer/dryer, eat-in  
kitchen and living room.  There is a covered front porch, and open deck on two sides.  Surrounded by  
woods and mountains on three sides, sits on one acre of land.  Good neighbors across the road.   
Great spot for writing. Cell service is not dependable, but there is a land line for local calling.   
Will need a phone card for long distance.  Central heat/air, no fireplace.  Lots of windows, cozy.   
Can build a fire in the backyard.  Has well water, so you may want to bring your own.  Range in  
kitchen is gas.  Gas grill on deck. Lawn mower, discount if you cut the grass.

Vacation Rental Amenities

This a a bikers paradise. Bikers come from all around to drive the Cherohala Skyway, which is one of  
the most scenic highways in North America, and follows the Tellico River. It starts in Tellico  
Plains and travels east to Robbinsville, NC. There is also swimming at Lake Indian Boundary, a state  
park four miles from the house, for swimming and fishing.  The Citgo Park borders Lake Indian  
Boundary Park.  The area is surrounded by the Cherokee and Natahala National Parks, hence the name  
Cherohala (Chairahala). An hour and a half to Knoxville, three hours to Atlanta, one hour and half  
to Chattnnoga, 45 minutes to Madisonville, and 15 to 20 minutes to Tellico Plains depending on your  
route down the mountain.  Near Bald River Falls. 
Tellico Plains has a bakery of renown (Tellico Grains)a few good restaurants, banks, grocery store,  
and fillig stations, artsy community with a motorcycle shop too.  

Activities and Attractions

Swimming, flyfishing, canoeing, motorcycle riding. There's an Independence Day celebration street  
dance in Tellico Plains, and the Rafter Fire Departement has an annual Beast Feast fund raiser in  
July.

Vacation Rental Rates

Three day weekend minimum rates start at $350 for two and add $35.00 per person.  Weekly and monthly  
rates vary.  Please inquire. Pets are acceptable upon approval with non-returnable deposit.   
Damage/loss deposit of $500.00 required in advance.
