Vacation Rental Description

Overlooking the Seine and the Yachting Harbour of Paris where a number
of diverse types of boats are moored, this place (85square meters)is a
few steps from the historical Place de la Bastille where you find the
Opera de Paris, considered as one of the best in the world and
inaugurated for the 200th anniversary of the French Revolution in
1989. Within a short walking distance is the royal Place des Vosges,
the oldest and most beautiful square in Paris. Built by Henri IV, its
perfect symmetry and verticality are fine examples of classical French
architecture.
You'll find the main tourist attractions are within easy walking
distance, 10 - 15 minutes away - Le Marais, The Ile Saint Louis, The
Latin Quarter, the Rive gauche.
This area is also renowned for its numerous museums (Picasso Museum,
Modern Art Maison Rouge Foundation), arts galleries and antique
stores. A superb view is one of the advantages of this fine very
functional and entirely refurbished 80sqm two-bedroom apartment
located on the 6th floor of a 19th century building (elevator) and
equipped with all possible modern amenities. The perfect place for
visiting Paris or working.
So when you arrive from Charles de Gaulle airport,board RER B
(regional fast train) stop at Gare du Nord. Hop onto line 10, in the
direction of Place d'Italie for 8 stations ; stop at Quai de la Râpée.
It is a 2-min walk to the apartment !

Vacation Rental Amenities

This is a family apartment full of English-language books and videos
and children are more than welcome.The apartment is very close to 3
metro lines and many bus routes taking you all over Paris. This
private sixth floor 19th century apartment, with interphone security
and a lift, is very easy to live in.
With two south-facing windows looking over the Paris Yachting Harbour,
The river Seine, the Pantheon and two East-facing rear windows looking
over the private garden and a row of 19th century buildings the
apartment is light, sunny and extremely quiet. 
The apartment is located in the very centre of Paris and sightseeing
is incredibly easy. If you want to go further afield to Versailles
(via Gare d'Austerlitz), or Euro-Disney (via gare de Lyon) for example
these two stations are within walking distance! If you are using Paris
as a base for exploring Europe,Gare de Lyon (South of France, Italy,
Switzerland) is within walking distance, and Gare du Nord 8 stations
away : from that station Central London is exactly 2 hours away.
On a practical note, there are ATMs, inexpensive restaurants,small
supermarkets very close by, including the farmers markets on Tuesdays
and Saturdays and Sundays  where fresh local produce can be found.
The apartment has two large bedrooms with ample storage space, one
with a queensize bed, the other with two twin beds transformable into
a King. The sofa in the living room is a Kingsize bed (rare in Paris)
with a wonderfully firm mattress.

Activities and Attractions

Discover yet another part of Paris, the Marais-Bastille area between
Ile Saint-Louis and Place de la Bastille: visit the Bastille Opera
House and the “Rue de Lappe” with its many ethnic restaurants and
pubs. Enjoy a cruise on Canal Saint-Martin leaving from Place de la
Bastille. For those who come to Paris on business, they will be
between two train stations Gare de Lyon and Gare d'Austerlitz, close
to RER A which crosses the whole of Paris up to the area of La Defense
(in 20 mn); they will not be far from the two major Airports (direct
buses to and from Gare de Lyon); the metro Station that services the
apartment, Quai de la Râpée, is directly connected to Roissy Airport
via Gare du Nord. A central and most pleasant place: you can stroll
along the Port de Plaisance de Paris or the Open Air Sculpture museum,
get in no time into the Jardin des Plantes and the Latin Quarter. At
night you will enjoy the unforgettable view on sparkling Eiffel Tower,
Notre-Dame and the City of Lights.

Vacation Rental Rates

1,600-1,700 euros.
Prices are per apartment per week in euros; Rate includes all
running costs, unlimited broadband Internet, end cleaning fee. Extra
maid service and baby-sitting can be arranged at a cost.
A 25% non-refundable deposit is required on booking
(Moneybookers,Paypal, bank
wire).Balance payable cash on arrival. Payable with the balance is a
1,000€ fully-refundable security deposit against damage,(by check, in
cash,in euros or in your own currency). The deposit will be returned 
after inspection with you when the keys are handed back, provided you
return the apartment in the same immaculate state as when you received
it and provided you do not smoke. If smoking occurs the deposit will
be kept in whole.
Very often there is last minute availability or short gaps between
bookings, please always enquire.
Regular changeover day is Saturday in season. We will accommodate
other check-in dates where possible. Check-in normally 1pm-7pm, but if
we can, we will try to accommodate guests arriving on overnight
flights from North America. Unless by prior arrangement, guests should
try to leave by 10am. This helps same day changeover cleaning. Special
arrangements may be possible depending on other bookings. Luggage
storage is possible.We prefer 7 day minimum stays.
