block from the ocean in Scarborough's Higgins Beach community,
you'll be a short walk from everything you need, including the local
lobster pound/vegetable stand/store, and two restaurants. Whether
you prefer watching waves crash on rocky ledge, fishing in the
Spurwink River, or just relaxing on the half mile of beautiful white
sand, you can't help but enjoy coming home to this cozy rental when
the day is done.
It has two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two twin
beds. An additional day bed in the large living area means it
sleeps five. It has a fully equipped kitchen, a modern bathroom with washer/dryer,
walk in closet, and spacious open-plan living area, with dining
table and comfortably furnished living room. Heated. No smoking and
or pets allowed.

If you can pull yourself away from the beach's panoramic views of
the Atlantic, warm sand and great ocean activities, you'll see
you're in one of the most walkable little areas around. Friendly
and fun, the community even has its own Club House that hosts
Wednesday morning breakfast, frequent dinners, outdoor concerts and
poker nights.
Follow the winding Spurwink Road a few short miles to Two Lights,
home of the charming local resturant the Lobster Shack and two
wonderful lighthouses. The panoramic views and rocky coastline are
a must see! Then on to Fort Williams and Portland Headlight, one
of the country's most photographed lighthouses.
Just fifteen minutes away is the city of Portland, with its
shopping, charming Old Port, museums, fine dining and night life.
Whale watching and ferry tours of Casco Bay are also close by.
You'll be just 25 minutes from Freeport, home of the world famous
L.L. Bean, outlet shopping, and the Desert of Maine. It's just half
an hour to historic Kennebunkport and forty minutes to the state's
largest outlet shopping area in Kittery. Nearby U.S. Route 1 offers
everything from great seafood and antiquing to amusement parks and
water slides.
