nice beach boulevard, el Malecon, full of restaurants offering great
seafood and typical cuisine. Flamingo watching is also close to the
area. In all the places in the Yucatan you will find ffriendliest
people and the most peaceful atmosphere in Chixclub. Cancun is a four
hour drive eastward. Archaeological sites like the Mayan ruins of
Chichen Itza and Uxmal are at 2 hours driving. Dzibilchaltun and
X-Cambo are 30 minutes away by car. There you can find great old Mayan
structures, castles, cenotes, and classic colonial time towns with the
big old church, the Mercado and the plaza. Merida offers all services
