unites beach-house fun, Miami Beach style, and historic Hollywood

This remodeled 1930s-era house was built in the beautiful late Deco 
architectural style called "Streamline Moderne," referring to the 
streamlined form of classic cruise ships and the curving aerodynamics 
of planes and cars in the jazz age. This house, reminiscent of homes 
in Silverlake, Hollywood, South Miami Beach, and Barcelona, features 
art-deco antiques, two romantic working fireplaces, lush tropical 
landscaping, and rich hardwood floors. 

The property offers a mountain-view roof terrace with its own outdoor 
fireplace. Although built in the 30s, the home has been lovingly 
modernized and is spotlessly clean and comfortable. Your vacation 
will enjoy all modern amenities, including huge flat-screen TVs, 
wireless internet, a great sound system, etc.

The Santa Barbara Art Deco House is located on the East Side, a 
bohemian neighborhood popular with University of California 
professors and local artists; it is the town's most eclectic and 
ethnically diverse community. From here you can enjoy Montecito, 
Santa Barbara, the Mission and Presidio, area vineyards, State Street 
shopping and restaurants, and the area's unique lifestyle and 
beaches. You'll explore these attractions from the vantage point of a 
truly unique home in a real multicultural community, without 
secluding yourself behind the gates and bars of the more exclusive 
resorts.

Relax in the spa-jacuzzi bathtub in the black and white ceramic-tiled 
bathroom after you enjoy a bike ride through the bird sanctuary, or a 
match of beach volleyball, or a hike up through the Riviera and 
mountains. 

You can play tennis at the courts next-door, and can easily walk to 
the shops of Montecito, the ethnic restaurants of Milpas Street, or 
the charming zoo or new Ty Warner aquarium. This beautiful, stylish, 
comfortable home serves as a perfect base to return to after whale 
watching, enjoying live theater at the Arlington, wine tasting in the 
vineyards, or dolphin watching at East Beach. 

Mosaic stonework reminiscent of the beach boardwalks of Rio de
