South Beach - Luxury Villa Apartment - Espanola Way in Miami Beach

This private villa apartment comprises the entire first floor of the
historic 1929 main house (duplex).
With 9 foot ceilings and arched entryways, this unit is inviting and
spacious. It also has lots of outdoor living space with a sunny
terracotta patio in the front and a private Chicago brick patio in
the back.
The living room boasts comfortable furnishings including a unique
partner desk for any work that cannot wait until you get home. The
glass and ironwork dining table sets 4.
The gourmet kitchen has top-of-the-line, stainless steel appliances,
gas range, dish washer, and a custom terrazzo counter top. To make
meal prep easy and grand, a 12 piece 18/10 stainless steel cookware
set, baking pans (non-stick and Pyrex), and tools are provided . We
include dinner service for 6 (including wine glasses). The
silverware even has shrimp forks and iced-tea spoons, and there is a coffee maker for your morning brew.
The kitchen door opens onto your own private dining patio with gas
grill, hummingbird and butterfly garden. Great for reading your
morning paper with coffee. Or, have an evening cocktail party - it's
a great space for entertaining.
A queen bed with comfortable mattress and suede
headboard is the heart of the bedroom. A 4 drawer dresser and
deep wall closet will provide ample storage for clothes, etc.
The Florida-style sitting room has a danish modern daybed and a flat-screen. You will enjoy curling up here to watch your favorite show on DirecTV or choose a movie from the DVD library. Or settle into one of the occasional chairs to read or chat with friends.
Free private parking is available. However, with so much within
walking distance, shops, restaurants, the beach, you will doubtfully need to drive during your stay.
Children are welcome; however, the unit is not considered "child
proof". We have had many guests with children (infants, 3, and 5
year olds). These guests (from New Hampshire, Spain, and
Switzerland and other locales around the world) have all found the space to be more than suitable and many visit year after year. They say their children sleep soundly in the quiet setting and they love that the villa is not on
a busy street, so there is no concern about traffic. The children
love the Flamingo Park pool and playground around the corner; plus,
we have some beach toys you're welcome to borrow. Also, there are
other young children living on the street who enjoy meeting new
friends.

Enjoy the character and charm of South Beach in one of its oldest
residences. Built in 1929 on Ocean Drive, old timers recall that this home and three others were moved to their current location to make room for an
Ocean Drive hotel.
The house is located in the heart of the Flamingo/Espanola Historic
District, situated at the end of Espanola Way on Jefferson Avenue
which is blocked from public access on both ends to form a private
street -- no street noise, just solitude. With your own private
parking space you can park just steps away to your door.
The fabulous Lincoln Road pedestrian mall is two short blocks
north. With a weekly antiques, fruit, vegetable, and flower market
every Sunday, world class dining and shopping, 18-screen movie
cinema, the New World Symphony, and Jackie Gleason Performing Arts
Theatre, Lincoln Road offers something for everyone.
Just two more blocks north are the Miami Beach Botanical
Garden, Miami Beach Convention Center, or the Holocaust Memorial.
Looking for more culture? Check out some of the local museums Bass -
Wolfsonian - Art Deco - Jewish.
Looking for recreation? Flamingo Park is literally next door. It
boasts 17 championship clay tennis courts; raquet ball, hand ball,
squash, and basketball courts; 1/4 mile track; soccer, football, and
baseball fields; children's and doggy playgrounds; and a new pool.
The beach, an 8 minute walk down historic Espanola Way past Art Deco
buildings and the Spanish inspired cafe and shopping district with
weekly outdoor market. Details: 5 blocks to Washington, 1/4 block
to Collins, and a 1/4 block through the beach access alley to Ocean
Drive and the Beach.
Note: For those who wish to swim "au naturel" in our warm carribbean
blue waters, the world famous Haulover Beach, a clothing-optional
(nude) beach, is 9.5 miles North on Collins Avenue.
