This gulf view home with private heated pool is an upscale spin on the traditional beach house. Built in 2002, the spacious two bedroom, two bathroom cottage sleeps 6 comfortably. This cottage is ideally located in the heart of prestigious Santa Rosa Beach, Florida on the corner of Gulfview Heights Street and Betty Street. The property is south of Scenic 30-A, half way between Goatfeathers Restaurant/Seafood Market and the Gulfview Heights beach access. The cottage is a leisurely two-minute stroll from the driveway to the dune walk-over.

Santa Rosa Beach is a quiet, prestigious beach community nestled beside the Gulf of Mexico. Located approximately 10 miles east of Destin, FL, Santa Rosa Beach offers easy access to Destin shopping, restaurants, deep-sea fishing, family friendly activities, golf courses and airports, without the traffic and congestion of staying in Destin. Natural beauty abounds along scenic 30-A with the miles of walking/biking trails, the wildlife, nature preserves, dune lakes, sugary white sand and crystal clear waters. This  home offers  peaceful surroundings, scenic beauty and is close to all amenities.

Home and Furnishings  

The house is constructed on raised pilings to provide views of the Gulf from the large covered wraparound porch and adjoining rooms. The interior of the cottage is beautifully decorated and includes Italian porcelain tile floors, crown molding, cherry cabinets, Corian kitchen counter tops, new stainless steel applainces and cultured marble in the bathrooms. The bedrooms are carpeted and the soothing decor provides a respite from the warm midday sun on the beach. The large covered wraparound deck is complete with chairs, tables, ceiling fans and natural gas Broilmaster Premium Grill.

The cottage is fully furnished and equipped with all the comforts of home. Each bedroom has a wrought iron headboard with matching bench; the master bedroom has a king size bed and the guest room has a queen size bed. Each bedroom includes a 20" flat screen TV with DVD player, stereo radio with CD player and alarm clock. Hair dryers are provided in both bathrooms and all linens are included. The living room includes a full size sofa sleeper, a 32" television with DVD player, a stereo system with radio, CD player and cassette player. The kitchen is fully equipped with new stainless steel refrigerator/ice maker, self-cleaning range, dishwasher, microwave, garbage disposal, toaster, coffee maker, can opener, blender, dishes, utensils and glassware. There is a fourth flat screen TV located in the kitchen. Other amenities include ceiling fans, washer and dryer, iron and ironing board, premium natural gas grill, beach/pool toys and floats, cards/games, a large selection of movies, 4 beach chairs and a beach umbrella. Private Pool

The large corner lot includes a lush lawn with irrigation system, natural vegetation and a sparkling 13' by 26' private heated pool with brick paver deck for cooling off and relaxing. Outdoor furniture floats and pool toys are included; the pool is not shared with any other houses.

Beach Access

The house is on the corner of Gulfview Heights Street and Betty Street, facing the Gulf. This ideal location is just a short two-minute walk down Gulfview Heights Street to the Gulfview Heights beach access (see aerial photo), with no traffic or busy roads to cross. At the beach access you will find a dune walk-over, restrooms, outdoor showers, covered picnic pavilion and BBQ grill. The house includes 4 light-weight aluminum beach chairs and an beach umbrella for your use.

Nearby Activities

Bring your bikes or rent them nearby and explore the 20-mile-long bike/walking trail, nature preserves and 11 dune lakes. Access to the trail is just steps from the house and runs the entire length of Scenic 30-A. Several shops and restaurants are within walking or biking distance, as is Goatfeathers Restaurant & Seafood Market. The shops, restaurants and seasonal events of Gulf Place Resort are just half a mile to the west and accessible via the bike/walking trail. There are several upscale and popular beach communities to explore along Scenic 30-A including Dune Allen, Gulf Place, Blue Mountain Beach, Grayton Beach, Watercolor, Seaside, Seagrove Beach, Seacrest, and Rosemary Beach. The Santa Rosa Golf and Beach Club is located less than a mile from Blue Parrot Cottage.
