vacation rental description

Enjoy your vacation in this charming beach cottage that is only one
block from the beach, between Flagler and Third Aves. You can walk
or bike to many restaurants, bars, gift and clothing shops, drug
stores, food stores, etc. There is a nice park with
tennis courts, a playground and basketball courts only two blocks
away.
Our home is bright and cheerful with a large eat in kitchen with new
appliances, including a microwave and dishwasher, perfect for cooking or enjoying the variety of local take out food. The Living Room has nice hardwood floors, comfy furniture, plenty of books and a 40" flatscreen tv. The master bedroom has a beautiful four poster queen size bed and television. The second bedrm has a set of twin beds(they can be pushed together to make a king size bed). Our home also has a garage and a fenced in yard with a large deck for outdoor dining.
Our cottage is equipped with everything you would need for a
relaxing vacation. Bring your laptop and you can work from the beach
or just stay in touch with friends/family using our high speed
internet service- it has an awesome connection!
Please ask about our neighboring cottage two doors away that can
accomodate your friends or family for group vacations.
Our beach cottage is a wonderful alternative to the hustle and bustle
of Orlando. You can enjoy five days of beach time with two day trips
to theme parks, so that you can "vacation" on your vacation!!

Hiking (two state parks nearby), biking, golf (great courses), world
class fishing, tennis, basketball, shuffleoard (there is a
shuffleboard park on Flagler Ave!), surfing, swimming, snorkeling,

on Flagler Ave and Canal st, mini golf, and Orlando just one hour
away!! There is a casino bus which provides transportation to a
casino cruise (twice a week) that leaves from New Smyrna.

My wife and I enjoyed our 6 days and nights at Sun Kissed. Great location, minutes walk from beautiful beach and Flager Ave. (shops and eateries)and very comfortable accomodations for ourselves and fenced in large yard for our small Schnauzer pup. Would certainly go back again.

Recommended for: age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet-friendly, sight seeing, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Wonderful Property, location, and owners!!!

If you are looking for a great place to stay, then look no further!!!!! We rented this property for the week of 4th of July. The house was in great condition, and since then even more improvements have been made. It is wonderfully stocked with all the "extra's" you could need for a great beach vacation. The neighborhood was quiet and it was a quick walk to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The owners were wonderful to work with and we will rent from them each time we go to New Smyrna!!!!

Recommended for: families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, pet-friendly, tourists without a car, romantic getaway

Our rental experience

We have been to New Smyrna Beach 5 different times during January and February. We rented this house with intention of using the bicycles that were listed in the amenities. This was our first disappointment. There were 4 bicycles none of which were in riding condition. They were covered with sand and debris and were not repairable. The overhead garage door was broken and we were not able to use the garage. The real problem we encountered was noise. The neighbors to our east were constantly having parties at all hours of the night. We were awakened by loud talking and even skate boarding and bouncing basketballs at 2:30 AM on several occasions. They also had two large dogs, one of which barked excessively. There was also a parrot back of us that was always screeching and then all the dogs in the neighborhood would chime in. I would not recommend this rental to anyone.

Owners response: I have been renting my house for quite a few years and have always had very satisfied guests, many of which have returned several times. We take pride in our home and try to be very sensitive to the needs of our guests, as well as our neighbors that live there all year round. We also try to keep the house supplied with items guests would need and not want to "drag" on vacation, such as bikes. We keep extra innertubes and a bike pump at the house, but we can't count on guests to maintain them. We are so close to the beach that the saltwater rusts them. However, I would have fixed the bikes, or replaced them, if I had been told that was an issue. I will remove them as an "amemity". Our contractor fixed the garage door the first week the guests arrived. To prevent any further issues, I have ordered a new garage door to be installed. I have absolutely no control over the neighbors. My understanding is that they have been asked to leave. It has always been a traditionally quiet neighborhood.
